James and Fofana's injury wows, makes buying a world class proven right side CB/RB a must in the summer. Jonathan Tah? A striker is still a need. Cucu is amazing! That's what I mean when I say world class and proven. Enzo looks like superstar-- not the G and A, but the speedy passing and the extra bite in his tackles, wow. Neto and Sancho are great on the ball. Sancho taking players on--Finally. The boy can be a superstar again if he keeps it up. Cole, Levi and Jackson are good ballers.
The crazy and unfortunate thing is Caicedo gets unfairly called for fouls at least 2 to three times a game. He does this thing where he’ll jockey and fake one way but anticipate where the player is going and slide tackle in front of that direction. It looks rash but he gets the ball most of the time and the ref blows the whistle. Last season he was DEFINITELY rash and panicking a lot. Making tackles where he didn’t need to and picking up needless yellow cards. He’s improved massively on that aspect. He’s not even the finished article. He’ll get even more experienced and learn the smart tricks that Rodri does. The sky is the limit for him.

Caicedo I’m sure won’t happen on a regular basis at right back. He played there today because McGinn inverts. He isn’t a tricky winger with pace. That’s where Gusto would be the obvious choice. Likewise, when playing against a team where you have a big striker attacking the full backs on crosses you have an actual third CB. This is what I really enjoy about Maresca, you can see he goes through each opponents weaknesses and strengths and makes it advantage to our strength.
