Thank you for discovering Dimash and welcome to a beautiful world of music.
Dimash is a 28-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 7,7 octaves (vocal fry C1 (B0) - whistle D8 off the piano). That means he hits notes in almost 8 octaves and sings consistently in 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly😅). At least what he has shown us so far. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. The latest songs (from Tokyo Jazz Festival in November 2021) are Ikanaide in Japanese and at his concert in Almaty on September 23, 2022 he sang a new song in Spanish (about 7 languages in one concert!). This song he sang this Armenian folk song for the first time on his concert in Yerevan on April 29, 2023 (it has to be about 15 languages so far).
He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". The logo can be seen at the beginning of many of Dimash's videos. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. He doesn’t want to be dictated by money when he has to sing what, when, where and how.
Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, respectful and humble person. He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country. And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this.
His concert in September 23, 2022 was in his hometown Almaty, it was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, you realize your so wrong.
He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to improve his vocal skills.
He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Don't be surprised if you get suggestions for songs you may have already seen. Dimash has different versions of many of the same songs. They are all worth seeing. Not only is he perfect at singing and performing, he's also an incredibly good actor. Check out his music videos. They are amazing. You think I’m exaggerating? No, I don’t think so😄.
He is so awesome, isn’t he? If you want to see/hear another awesome song I recommend Stranger. It is one of my absolute favorite songs. I get goosebumps every time I hear it. I’m a real fan of movies that have such a mystical or oriental atmosphere. And it was such a great idea by Dimash to use the Kobysz for that.
The kobys is a very old Kazakh folk instrument and, like the dombra, very widespread among Kazakhs. The man who often plays the Kobys in Dimash's performances (like here in Stranger) is the best on the instrument and a very good friend of Dimash's. His name is Olzhas Qurmanbek. This instrument can often be heard when Dimash sings songs in his native language such as Samaltau, Qairan Elim or Òmir Òter.
He sang Stranger for the first time at New Wave in Sochi, Russia in 2021. This is an international competition for young artists, founded in 2002 by Igor Krutoy. Dimash sang here as a guest and was also a member of the jury. Igor Krutoy, like so many other masterpieces, wrote this song specifically for Dimash and his incredible vocal range (in this song alone he sings 5 octaves F1-F6 I think).
Igor Krutoy is a famous Russian-Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter. He came out of retirement specifically to work with Dimash when he first heard him. True masterpieces were created. He writes songs that only Dimash could sing with his vocal range (no kidding), like Olimpico, Stranger or Ave Maria. You'll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. If Igor Krutoy is there, the song was also written by him. The two have no contract. Their cooperation is based more on mutual trust. It's more of a father-son relationship.
I’m glad you discovered Dimash and I hope you continue to react to videos of him. You are just at the beginning and you will discover so many completely different and incredible songs yet if you are willing to continue on this emotional ride.
    Greetings and love from Germany👋❤️

Dimash is from Kazakhstan. He makes an effort to perform a song in the language of the country he's visiting. The instrument is a dombra. He plays something like 7 instruments, including piano, guitar, and drums. He can sing very low, too.

Thank you for sharing your reaction video.
He learned this song hours before the concert. His Armenian pronunciation is spot on, as if a native Armenian is singing. In the end he imitates the sound of Armenian duduk which is a woodwind instrument.
Dimash's voice range is about 7 octaves. Please take a look at his, SOS, Sinful Passion, Love is like a dream, and stranger. You will not be disappointed.
Here is the same song with captions: th-cam.com/video/NEUv2SRXzxQ/w-d-xo.html

This was on April 29th of this year. His first song in Armenian, to show respect for the audience.
This is the 16th language he can sing in. He speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently. His English is great! He is still learning Mandarin. He sings classical, pop, folk, opera, pop-opera, world music and rap. He also plays many instruments. He started music school at 5 years old. He was trained in classical and contemporary.
To hear his low notes, try "Stranger". (2021) It's in English. - th-cam.com/video/lFsB5HVnmSA/w-d-xo.html

First time reacting to Dimash and you chose his first Armenian song, a folk song. From April 29, 2023. Wow. Most people start with SOS. His vocal range is quite expansive. This video is a fan cam so no captions, although there are some versions who put captions on it already. The man is one of the best vocalists in the world. Sings all genre of music, opera, pop, rock, jazz, folk, rap in a whole bunch of languages. In this concert alone he sang in English, Kazakh, Russian, Italian, Chinese, French and Armenian.

Ohh new subscriber here. You are now reacting to the best singer in the world and this century. I suggest your next reaction to Dimash must be "SOS 2021" Digital show. It will blow your socks off. You have heard nothing yet. He sings in 16 different languages and speaks Kasakh, Russian, English and a bit mandarin (Chinese). This was from his last concert in Armenia. He always greetings and pay respect to the land he visits with a native song, in this case he learned an Armenian song in a couple of days. Best regards from Norway 🇳🇴
