I'm an Elvis fan, and I came across this movie a few years ago when I saw it on TV Land (yes, I'm a sap for old TV shows). And then I don't know how, but this movie popped into my head a few weeks ago, and I found it here, and I've been watching it often. Dale Midkiff and Susan Walters have great onscreen chemistry!
I don't care what ANY ONE says or thinks, Priscilla Presley is quite an amazing and truly remarkable woman. I am such big fan of both her AND Elvis. She has proven herself time and time again that she's as extremely intelligent as she is extremely beautiful. Elvis was amazing and hopefully he's at peace and knows that his lively legacy is in great hands.

The costumes and sets are very authentic in this. I guess they shot some of these scenes in Germany. That first apartment they got was in a brothel, but they didn't know until they moved in. Later I think they into base housing.

This movie did not have permission to use ANY of Elvis' music - The movie with Jonathan Rhys Myers is the ONLY one to date to get permission from the Presley Estate.
She also did Soap Operas like alot of folks did most notably Loving (I think) as well as The Young & The Restless. Ironically CBS was the Network that featured Elvis's Last Concert before he died in 1977.
kathryn...I agree with you! I just got jumped for saying she wasn't acting like an innocent girl in part 5--well she wasn't! I'm not going to go with the people who say she wasn't a virgin when she met Elvis, but she had some kind of experience! If she was as anxious for sex as they show, I know she wasn't after dating boys in high school for 3 years much less at the altar!

I'm a hugh Elvis fan and have read alot of books about him but I don't think anyone really knows the score, that being said, JMO if this is how it went down it's really sick, I mean when my daughter was 14 I would'nt have allowed her to be "friends" with a grown man and it makes him a perv! At any rate, wasn't Elvis a big-time philanderer? Not that I'm judging him, but wasn't that at least part of the reason she divorced him, not to mention the fact that he was becoming more and more unbalanced?
No he was not how they portrayed him in this movie Elvis was the opposite of being selfish and of having a big ego. He was actually a really good sweet kind and generous heart and he so did not have a big ego either.
