Thank you. I have rolls Australian indigenous paintings found in the bottom of my parents caravan that have suffered major water damage. they were my mums who passed 12 months ago. Crossing fingers that I can save them.

This is the most helpful mold-removal video I've seen yet, and I've seen dozens! I'll attempt a couple of these methods (the eraser-crumb and/or the kneaded eraser techniques) on foxing spots on a 1939 graduation program.

Thank You, I made a painting 5-6 months back and kept it on my piano, didn't know that humid would cause damage to water colors on my Canvas.

Thanks so much for this video. I've got a few pieces that have some minor mold damage from having been stored in an extremely humid room for several years, pretty common problem for storage spaces that aren't climate controlled here in Texas.

Yes, I bought an A/C with dry mode to stop the mold from my room. I have a collection of cardboard boxes and vintage manuals and all are covered by mold, I'll clean up with this method and see how it looks.

Fantastic! Thank you for this video. I found some dry, but formerly moldy prints that originally came from a barn inside tubes, Into my storage unit. So there's some dry mold spotting and water damage lines. Hopefully at the very least, I'll be able to use the erasers to pick off the mold. They're from the 70s by a local artist so I'm going to do my best to save them before I call it quits. What type of glass could I frame them with that wouldnt block (blacklight UV)? Anyone know?
    Again, thanks!

My clients complain to fungus growing in the paper I've sketched on. Please help. How to prevent or how to remove.

Hi, I have many pieces of art from my great aunt that mean so much, some of her pastels have mildew and grime (1950's)....beyond light eraser, light brushing, are there any other options to clean? Thanks

I know this video is years ago but if you see this please respond right away. My little brother spilled yogurt on a painting I made for my other sibling. It has been noticed 2 days after it happened. I know this is about water and mold and in 2017 but if anyone happens to see this and knows how to restore it please let me know. It is acrylic on a canvas. It’s going to be thrown away soon if we can’t find a way to fix it. It’s on just the corner of it so worst case scenario we can chop the corner off but the other ones like this I don’t know if we can just do that

Frankly, this video only addresses mold that is fresh, not set in.

Thought there were some good tips in this video... I can't believe that Google Search's suggestion on "how to remove mold from artwork" brought me to this video, where - after 5 minutes, one is advised to "go to a professional Conservator", ["I need new clients"]. Where is the "DIY" (an expression way over-used by bored housewives who destroy old furniture with chalk paint; people into crappy crafts; kooky college kids; and Trendies) tip, as to how to remove "old mold on artwork"? "DIY" meaning 'internet search a Conservator'?!
    :(

Preach. I'm 2/3rds through and waiting for the REMOVAL process to begin. Omg, she just vacuumed the paper print. Like that's gonna remove stains. Okay, now I'm supposed to zest my eraser.
I NEED a way to get mold stains out of the back and edges of an oil painting.
      Rrrrrggghh.
