It should be noted that the Islam which the world is practicing today is that of the rulers of the past islamic era. Ehlul Bait (A) has always been persecuted and martyred by these supposed caliphs and kings. The scholars had the duty to curb Islam as per the wish of these rulers, who in the name of Islam would commit atrocities and conquer other lands with force which Rasulallah (SAW) never did. Abu Hanifah and Malik were students of Imam Jaafar Al Sadiq (A). Abu Hanifah would say : If it wasn't for the two years (under the monitorship of Imam Jaafar (A)) Abu Hanifah would have been destroyed! Bukhari never quoted a single Hadith from Imam Jaafar (A) ! Jabir bin Hayan, a student of Imam Jaafar (A) is known in the western world as Geber, the father of modern chemistry !!! The only way to success is the way of Ehlul Bait (A), which Allah has recommended in the Holy Quran :قُل لَّا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ أَجْرًا إِلَّا الْمَوَدَّةَ فِي الْقُرْبَىٰ ۗ وَمَن يَقْتَرِفْ حَسَنَةً نَّزِدْ لَهُ فِيهَا حُسْنًا ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ شَكُورٌ
Unfortunately, no such ayat was revealed referring to the companions, contrarily, they've been threatened in Surat Al Hujurat and Munafiqun. Muslims nowadays are so busy in mundane life that they take Islam to be optional. The term, Shi'a used to qualify the lovers of Ehlul Bait (A), is tricky it should be complete that is 'Shi'a of Ali (A)' and Imam Ali (A) is the 'nafs' of Rasulallah (SAW) according to Ayat Mubahalah and in Surat Bayyena He (A) is khairul bariyya !! So many ayats in the Quran, Allah showing His love for Imam Ali (A) ! In Surat Al Adiyaat, Allah is swearing by the hoofs of Imam Ali's (A) horse !!!!!!!

Umar ibn Abdul Aziz the fifth Khalifa rashidyya was poisoned to death.
Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbel was beaten every day for a decade.
Abdulah ibn Zubair r.a. was killed in a horrific way
Ustman ibn afan r.a. Was executed.
The list goes on
I agree sunni scholars did downgrade ahlu albayt a.s. to their a.s right position as humanbeings, but the best of humans.
To believe that ahlul bayt a.s are imams and above prophets is not from quran
Its not a piller of iman nor a piller of Islam. But they a.s have great positions with Allah

Allah did praise sahaba in the quran and its totally clear, unlike the praises of ahlu albayt a.s
To understand ibn Taymiyya we must understand the period he lived in. Shirk was spread through out the muslim community
The things he said and did was to help Tawheed, no matter if we today agree with his statements or not, he did a great job doing what he wanted to do, he was successful

@@mersadmesihovic3641 respectfully, you are wrong brother. Allah swt orders us to LOVE the ahlulbayt in the Quran 42:23. Allah does not order us to love the sahaba, rather in many verses he condemns many of the companions as hypocrites. The famous Hadith, Bukhari 6576 states:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "I am your predecessor at the Lake-Fount (Kauthar), and some of you will be brought in front of me till I will see them and then they will be taken away from me and I will say, 'O Lord, my companions!' It will be said, 'You do not know what they did after you had left.'
Whereas Allah swt in Quran 33:33 states that the ahlulbayt have been purified by a thorough purification, I.e. they are sinless. This is agreed upon, as we hear in this very video.
So the sahaba are not on the same level or in the same position as the ahlulbayt or Imam Ali.

Do you know who Ahmad ibn Hanbel is! He was asked who was the best Sahaba and he answered that Abu Bakr then Omar r.a. were given preference. And then he was asked what about Ali a.s? He said that no one can be compared to Ali a.s.
Ahmad ibn Hanbel is the imam of the most orthodox school in sunni Islam, The Hanbeli school of thought.
Ibn Hanbel also said to a guy who was talking ill about Muawiyya that the one who talks ill about the sahaba r.a have something wrong with their hearts. Read verses 8 to 10 in sura Al Hasher and you will understand why he said this.

The for front when we have the prophet Aleyhissalaam’s example. It was the prophet that received revelation from Allah and given the duty to spread the word of Allah so we focus on the prophet and his teachings. Superiority in Islam is based on taqwa according to Quran, it is not based on whether you are ahli bayt or not. It eas delightful to listen to both shaikhs and the only video I came across which both sides had respect for each other.
Salam brother, to attain Taqwa we need obedience, in many verses in the Quran the obedience limited to Allah and his messenger, however in some verses this obligatory obedience is extended (see verse
Holy Quran 4:59

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا الرَّسُولَ وَأُولِي الْأَمْرِ مِنْكُمْ ۖ فَإِنْ تَنَازَعْتُمْ فِي شَيْءٍ فَرُدُّوهُ إِلَى اللَّهِ وَالرَّسُولِ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ تُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ خَيْرٌ وَأَحْسَنُ تَأْوِيلًا
O you who have believed, obey Allah and the Messenger and those in authority among you. And if you disagree over anything, refer it to Allah and the Messenger, if you should believe in Allah and the Last Day. That is the best [way] and best in result.
Guardianship
Holy Quran 5:55

إِنَّمَا وَلِيُّكُمُ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا الَّذِينَ يُقِيمُونَ الصَّلَاةَ وَيُؤْتُونَ الزَّكَاةَ وَهُمْ رَاكِعُونَ
Your ally is none but Allah and [therefore] His Messenger and those who have believed - those who establish prayer and give zakah, and they bow [in worship].

Who is included (personalities or personality in the second source ) within the 3rd group depends on the translations.based on sources your refer to.
Nevertheless the argument here is the obedience is extended and dictated by Allah, Allah extended it beyond prophet, therefore it’s not for the fallible people to decide who are these people of course the name(s) are not mentioned in this verses . And it’s you job to go and find them 😊, you might say it is not needed

Surah Isra’ - Verse 71
يَوْمَ نَدْعُواْ كُلَّ اُنَاسٍ بإِمَامِهِمْ فَمَنْ اُوتِيَ كِتَابَهُ بِيَمِينِهِ فَاُوْلَئِكَ يَقْرَءُونَ كِتَابَهُمْ وَلاَ يُظْلَمُونَ فَتِيلاً
71. “On the Day We shall call every people with their Imam (leader); then whoever is given his book in his right hand; then these will read their book (joyfully); and they will not be treated unjustly in the least.
Allah could have said prophets instead of imams, I will leave you to ponder
The Prophet pbuh Said ' I am the City of Knowledge and Ali is its Gate' . Its not an obsession. Its just logic. You wanna know rasullulah, you have to go though Ali. You want knowledge of what Islam is...what this 'city' is you gotta go through Ali. Ali is the Gate. The gate keeper of Islam, the true Islam of Rasullulah.
We simply follow Ahlul bayt instead of conpanions Ali AS is not more important than the prophet never has and never will be

Well let me ask you some questions first question if no one believed in imamah during imam Jaffar Saddiq AS time than why was the abbasid uprising slogan "returning leadership back to ahlul bayt" and when this was made their slogan why were there shias around the caliphate that started joining their cause as soon as they heard this, and why was one of those people Abu Muslim abd al rahman who took imam Jaffar Saddiq AS as his his imam, if they weren't Imams why did the Prophet ask Jafar ibn Abdullah al Ansar to send his salams on imam Baqir AS who was born 50 years after the prophet died, why did Al ma'mun the abbasaid caliph bring imam Al Rida AS into his capital from Medina if this man wasn't important to anyone if he wasn't an imam why did he make him his successor? If he was just another person what was his importance and also why did Imam Al Rida AS give a speech on imamate if he was just another person? Why was imam Al hadi AS house under seige and constant surveillance if he was just another person, why was imam Hasan Al Askari AS house under constant surveillance and seige as well if he wasn't important or an imam?
@Sheraz Ali and as for Muwaiya I would like to quote game of thrones "You don't make peace with your friends you make peace with your enemies" and that is what muwaiya was an enemy of ahlul bayt yet you add RA next to his name and claim to love ahlul bayt. He cursed imam Ali AS from the pulpit he broke every and each term of the muwaiya-hasan peace treaty the most notable of which is that once he died the caliphate should have gone to ahlul bayt not to Yazid.
Look my brother it seems more and more that your claims rely on wishful thinking even if you believe that the imams of ahlul bayt weren't Imams at least Don't claim that they themselves never thought they were Imams or no one else thought they were Imams, and don't claim Muwaiya was a good person because both those claims go against established historical facts

Aisha herself narrated in Sahih Muslim 2424:
“that Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) went out one norning wearing a striped cloak of the black camel's hair that there came Hasan b. 'Ali. He wrapped hitn under it, then came Husain and he wrapped him under it along with the other one (Hasan). Then came Fatima and he took her under it, then came 'Ali and he also took him under it and then said:
Allah only desires to take away any uncleanliness from you, O people of the household (AhlulBayt), and purify you (thorough purifying) - (Quran 33:33)”
The stepson of the Rasullulah narrates in Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3205
"When these Ayat were revealed to the Prophet (ﷺ): 'Allah only wishes to remove the Rijs from you, O members of the family, and to purify you with a thorough purification (33:33)' in the home of Umm Salamah, he called for Fatimah, Hasan, Husain, and wrapped him in the cloak, and 'Ali was behind him, so he wrapped him in the cloak, then he said: 'O Allah! These are the people of my house, so remove the Rijs from them, and purify them with a thorough purification.' So Umm Salamah said: 'And I, Prophet of Allah?' He said: 'You are in your place and you are goodness.'"

Also, if you’re familiar with Arabic grammar, you’ll see the first part of the verse is written in the feminine but the second in masculine, so it cannot refer to the wives of the Prophet.

فَوَجَدَ فِيهَا رَجُلَيْنِ يَقْتَتِلَانِ هَـٰذَا مِن شِيعَتِهِ وَهَـٰذَا مِنْ عَدُوِّهِ ۖفَاسْتَغَاثَهُ الَّذِي مِن شِيعَتِهِ عَلَى الَّذِي مِنْ عَدُوِّهِ...
The Messenger of Allah said to ‘Ali: "Glad tiding O ‘Ali! Verily you and your companions and your Shi’a (followers) will be in Paradise."

tawasul is Sunna. Waseela is a command from Allah.
@Bilkees Hussain Tirmidhi relates, through his chain of narrators from 'Uthman ibn Hunayf, that a blind man came to the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) and said,
"I've been afflicted in my eyesight, so please pray to Allah for me." The Prophet (Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "Go make ablution (wudu), perform two rak'as of prayer, and then say:
"Oh Allah, I ask You and turn to You through my Prophet Muhammad, the Prophet of mercy; O Muhammad (Ya Muhammad), I seek your intercession with my Lord for the return of my eyesight [and in another version: "for my need, that it may be fulfilled. O Allah, grant him intercession for me"]."
The Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) added, "And if there is some need, do the same."
This hadith was recorded was recorded by Bukhari in his "al-Tarikh al-kabir", by Ibn Majah in his "Sunan", where he said it was rigorously authenticated (SAHIH), by Nasa'i in "Amal al-yawm wa al-layla", by Abu Nu'aym in "Ma'rifa al-Sahaba", by Baihaqi in "Dala'il al-nubuwwa", by Mundhiri in "al-Targhib wa al-tahrib", by Haythami in "Majma' al zawa'id wa manba' al-fawa'id", by Tabarani in "al-Mu'jam al-kabir", by Ibn Khuzayma in his "Sahih", and by others. Nearly 15 hadith masters ("huffaz", hadith authorities with more than 100,000 hadiths and their chains of transmission by memory) have explicitly stated that this hadith is rigorously authenticated (sahih).
