  • This week Cadence Fishing TV joins Paul Kozyra on the beautiful River Aire, just on the outskirts of Leeds. Early to mid September is an ideal time to start fishing with seeds, as the weather turns autumnal, seeds and berries will start to fall into the water from trees and bushes, this causes a feeding frenzy amongst the resident fish. Paul takes you through how he fishes with tares, hemp and elderberries to catch dace and roach, the video includes top tips and tactics on how to prepare your bait, feed your swim and use each seed as a hook bait for maximum success. This masterclass will have you fishing with seeds like an expert in no time.

    I can honestly not think of any other fishing I would rather do than fish for roach and dace on a river like this. And Cadence commitment to 'give back' is fantastic. I will 100% look at them for my next tackle purchase - and for clarity I am nowt to do with Cadence, i just love the videos and their commitment.

    Thanks guys for this video. Didn't expect it to be funny after 5 min. or so as Monty clearly wasn't around BUT story about the hemp explotion made up for that nicely.

    This inspired me to take the dog out and collect some elderberrys, caught some nice chublets and dace on the tees with them, after chucking in what I had left I found that the fish were sat over the elderberrys for ages, caught some chunky dace on caster over the top of them

    Missing a lot of bites, the 5metre whip to hand would outfish the rod anyday as you hit more bites, also hooking the hemp through the top and pulling it through can catch multiple fish without rebaiting.

  • @LeighWinspear
    @LeighWinspear 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Another cracking video.
    Even though I dont fish rivers, I always learn something....:)
    When you show how to hook tares, you mention them sometimes coming off.
    Have you ever used fake baits such as fake hemp, tares or casters as with them being rubber, they normally dont come off?
    I use fake pellets for carping on commercials as when you get yer feeding right, they are in a frenzy anyhow and make mistakes - taking the imitation bait cast after cast too.
    Or some of the match lads, varnish and lasso a real pellet.
    Have you tried the same with seeds?

    • @cadencefishinguk
      @cadencefishinguk  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes fake seeds work. It's just that (most) match rules don't allow them so most match anglers don't bother.

    Hi Paul, when seed fishing do you start on the bottom and gradually come up or do you pick a depth and stick with it ? I am looking to fish Ely center on seed, which is a fantastic winter venue if you are down this way, so I wanted to know how you approach the depth. Jeremy.

    How far off bottom Is the light stick float set up please Paul?

    • @paulkozyra4467
      @paulkozyra4467 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      stephen brand, on the day I found around just a couple of inches off the bottom for the better stamp fish, but as always I experiment with the depth, if you look closely at the video I have a white tipex mark on the rod and this is marked at dead depth, I then tend to shot up the float leaving the first shot from the float at least 12 inches or so away so this enables me to freely move the float to fish more off the bottom if required and of course the mark on the rod makes setting back to dead depth easy.
