Great leaders are usually the reluctant ones, your friend should do what he can with the knowledge you where blessed to give him. If the chance presents itself then it will be time to make that call. To be honest the wolf will soon be coming for us all. My only regret in life is not taking action sooner, do as much as you can where you can. Ask yourself if that money would do more good focusing it at home or abroad. I feel like I'm way behind the ball, I stumble, I fall, I pick myself backup and run with bloody knees. Will training 200 on the front matter more then training 2,000 here at home. It is a dilemma I cannot answer. I will pray for your clarity of mind and for all of our brothers and sisters abroad. Even a lowley COB can make a difference, all they need to do is try and pay attention to the good people willing to teach them. My initial gut reaction was I know He'll use you wherever you are, and also that sometimes in facing questions like this where our desire is to be about His business the answer goes something like "kid I know your heart is for me, what do you want to do? I believe there are significantly harder times to come for us in CONUS. The Lord has always provided for his children; he will provide the best path for you and the family. My prayers will be for Him to continue to bless you with the next right choice/decision.
That is one tough decision to make knowing you, your heart is burning to do it, then finances, family, and prior commitments come in the picture then the " What If's ". Our Lord Jesus will make it clear to you in your heart, a passion that will not stop until you will know His will for you. The Epistle of James Chapter 1 verse 5 reads " But if anyone lacks wisdom let him ask of GOD who gives to men generously and without doubt and it will be given to him ", only prayer can answer us directly. It's about saving souls, as Francis of Assisi once said " Preach the Gospel at all times, if necessary use words ", so the question is are you able to witness JESUS plan of Salvation for mankind, or ask the recruits to come to a Bible study after you beat the tar out of them. I was never a clever teacher when I was in the prison ministry it was the Holy Spirit that moved the heart for Jesus to come in and change lives, I was just a puppet, He pulled my strings leading into the ministry I never ask for, but it was the best time of my life as hard as it was at times. First off I take everything you said in this vid at face value. Seems to me it must be pretty bad if they can't rotate enough guys as instuctors. Can't help with sage words but I can do a Prayer.
Every time that you say yes to someone then you are saying no to someone else. You could get stuck in Ukraine for a lot longer than planned if there is another worldwide lockdown situation with mandates, like last time around. That is a very real possibility.
