So when you first set it up you have to do self cleaning cycle even before you use it

I tried the self cleaning option and water came out of the vacuum and into the base. I have no idea what I did wrong? Wish I could return but I threw away the box 😞

the movement on my machine is from the brushes spinning on the floor and that does not turn off that I'm aware of.
