I used to be terrified of the 'Personality Twos', as I had a nightmare when I was a toddler about being abducted through the TV screen by one of them. I didn't get over my fear of the BBC 2 logo in general until quite a way into the 'Window on the World' idents' run.
Fun fact: In this video, NI is the shortened form of Northern Ireland, but ‘ni’ (二) also means ‘two’ in Japanese, which you can say it’s a kind of reference to one of the classic BBC2 ident in 1990s!
Here are the dates taken I found for the idents (some of them; chronological order): Sticky Label - Monday 29th January 2007 Fish - Wednesday 9th August 2006 Drum (long) - Friday 16th February 2007 Drum (short) - Saturday 3rd February 2007 Paintbrush - Saturday 10th February 2007 The Big Read (group) - Wednesday 7th February 2007 Camera (Donegall Quay, Belfast; long) - Tuesday 6th February 2007 Fry (long) - Saturday 3rd February 2007 Fry (short) - Saturday 27th January 2007 Invisible Walls Menu & Ident - Thursday 10th August 2006 Paintbrush Menu & Ident - Monday 14th August 2006 Logo Menu & Ident - Friday 16th February 2007 Fish Menu & Ident - Thursday 15th February 2007 Invisible Walls 40th Anniversary & Personality Idents Tribute - Sunday 18th February 2007
Yes I get what you mean there. But really it's interesting to see that "NI" acronym can mean something else in other language, which it's exactly what it is (hope this makes sense for you)
Anyone find it a little bit weird that most of these are introducing BBC News 24? Didn’t they just go to Pages from CEEFAX at closedown? There’s a clip of Paint on BBC Two NI from the last closedown of the 2010s ‘2’ revival era introducing News 24 so I guess it’s a regional thing.
I don’t know if it’s still the case nowadays, but BBC TWO NI would occasionally simulcast BBC NEWS after local programming if there was a gap in the schedule before opting into the network feed for early morning programming, the Sign Zone, the Learning Zone, etc.

Unless genome says otherwise, race to the pole was aired in August 2006.

Great selection here, judging by the dates that Snowman Ident actually aired in August that year. NI are the best when it comes to presentation.
