Actually pump up the volume is not really a comeback song. They decided to compose a song for their live broadcast content but fans really loved it so they decided to make a digital single. They don’t even promote them on music shows but got a win somehow 😂❤ yejun recently said that they are preparing for an actual comeback album ;))
Thank you for checking up plave. Really love your reaction, i can see you are genuinely enjoy it ❤ I suggest you to check out their b-sides as well. They have no skip song. Here is the list of all their b-sides: 1. Pixel world 2. I Just Love Ya 3. Dear PLLI (their fandom name is PLLI) 4. Watch me woo (already watched in this video) 5. Virtual idol 6. Merry PLLIsmast 7. From 8. Our Movie And I suggest you to check out their covers, their live music show performances, their LASS GO PLAVE contents, and their guide by virtualnpc to understand more about their talents and personalities.
I enjoyed hearing your opinion on their music and choreo. Thank you sm for checking out PLAVE!💜I really love these guys, it's always refreshing to see a kpop group with total creative freedom, but it's even more interesting when they're not under a traditional kpop company, but a tech startup that also has a very human approach when it comes to technology. Let me try to answer some questions: - they stream here on youtube, usually twice a week at 8PM KST. - they don't use their real birthdays, but the birthdays of the characters they represent. But dw, the 5 of them are adults, they all drink alcohol lol. - they weren't selected through the usual kpop competitive system. They didn't have to audition or go through any training other than the basics to use mocap equipment. VLAST's employees, including the CEO, were initially a group of tech experts/digital artists under other companies, until they won a contest held by MBC that gave them funds to become independent and start their own project like 2 years ago. We don't know exactly how, but that's when Yejun found out about their idea of a vtuber/virtual group, and wanted to join as the 1st member to try something new. After a while of being the only one, he himself invited his friends Noah and Eunho to join him. And Noah and Eunho invited their friends Hamin and Bamby respectively. All the members already had experience in the kpop industry or making music, most likely former idols. - fun fact: since the staff had no experience in the kpop music industry until now, they really took the members' opinions into consideration. At first they hired other ppl to compose and choreograph. But the members told VLAST they didn't like what they offered at all, and suggested producing songs themselves instead, and everyone agreed. They were also going to give up dancing to just be singers, but Bamby insisted and convinced everyone that they should dance too. Since then, PLAVE has been 100% in charge of their music and choreography. - about the equipment, it may have been updated, but so far we've been able to make assumptions based on the members' gestures when adjusting it, and what similar vtubers usually wear. Most likely it's not a full suit as used for movies, but some kind of vest and separate bracelet-like sensors that you put on your body. No marks needed on the face; you do the face tracing with a phone. They work with real-time motion capture, which is more efficient than the motion capture that you refine later, but it's also more prone to errors. They're getting incredibly better at it tho. - They have hinted at future projects like a webtoon, animated series, etc., but they will need some time to develop. They don't have that many employees yet. - 29:14 Noah can be lifted by one person or by a specialized facility as long as none of them have sensors. In fact, members love doing live streams so much that they sometimes go to the studio even when it's not their turn to stream just to appear on "invisible mode" to chat, lift chairs or other members lol I always say that this feels like a collaborative project, since both parties help each other. VLAST gives PLAVE members a fun platform to create and showcase their music and communicate with fans, while PLAVE gives VLAST the opportunity to improve their skills in the process, gain experience and promote their work as well. It's nice to see.
29:17 if u watch their livestreams some chairs are moving alone, tables too, or their awards, it is their staff 😆 in korean they call their staff "dduks" 😊. sometimes they too become invisible (not wearing mocaps) and they scare those wearing mocaps on, adding to the fun in their livestream
34:48 they call those 'caligo'. its part of their lore. everytime they glitch they would blame it on caligo. u will see an actual fight w caligo on their concert, hamin's song is where he fought a caligo :-)
Thank you for checking out PLAVE! Bamby revealed that their group wasnt formed through audition process but through a friend of a friend. It all started William(CEO) got yejun then yejun brought noah and eunho, noah brought hamin, then eunho brought bamby. Yejun, Noah, and Eunho produce songs for the groups while Bamby and Hamin is in charge of the choreography. They heavily work with EL CAPITXN (often produce bts songs) and they are heavily acquainted so you can tell PLAVE's producer line (yejun, noah, eunho) are not just anybody hahaha. VLAST is a TECH company theyre not an entertainment. They often have glitches in their earlier lives but thanks to PLLI's (fandom name) donations they are able to imrpove their tech. In concerts they record and perform in their studio bec their tech is there and project it on stage.
Thank you for checking and deep dive PLAVE!!! They are really talented and worth it to stan! PLEASE I WANNA WATCH YOU DEEP DIVING MORE VIDEOS OF PLAVE!
thank you for reaction to plave! if youre gonna react to them more, please do their covers during their first concert "Hello Asterum" and other covers aswell. My favorite from all the covers they did during the concert was Noah's cover "Drowning". Lets enjoy plave together hehe 💙💜💗❤️🖤
Thank you so much for the video! I really like your reaction and hope for more Plave reactions from you. They’re so talented and cute! You will fall for them for sure~ 💙💜🩷❤️🖤
Yes they do filming in real-life!! I remember they stayed together to filming Way 4 luv for 3 days. Thankyou for your reaction, waiting for more plave reaction!!
I'm feeling emotional [cry] to see you react to their debut songs at first, and all of the videos. I love it so much, and I'm grateful to see many people react to PLAVE, and most importantly accept the virtual artist in music industry. Thank you so much. Truly from my heart.
fun fact: Noah, Eunho, and Yejun produced PUTV (pump up the volume) on one of their livestreams! They almost had an emergency meeting from how good the song turned out lol. If the song didnt turn out like it did they probably would have had a completely different comeback, I’m glad they decided to release this! Thank you for reacting to Plave💙💜🩷❤️🖤 Edit: also PLEASE react to the Asterum 134-1 b-sides, they are definitely worth checking out! :D
Vlast is pronounced like blast but with a v instead. Eunho is pronounced more like oo instead of you. About the dance challenges, the members and the people they dance with most likely recorded sperately. They are then edited together. However, they have an ar studio now so the way they record it might have changed. Bamby did a dance challenge with Park myungsoo for putv. In the version uploaded on weibo, you can hear bamby saying which direction to point to. The members have also talked about meeting the people they dance with and teaching them the dance. As for the concert, they use a giant screen for it. They perform live and interact with the audience. Explanation of wfy: Yejun, noah, bamby, and eunho were the main characters of unpopular webtoons that have been discontinued. Yejun was from "Today, I'm going to treat you" (medical webtoon) Noah was from "Heart of the moon" Bamby and eunho were from "Chroma drift" All characters made on earth are in a cube form within vitaexcubo, which is in asterum's orbit. Once the character gets enough love the cube will fall as a meteor, bringing the character to life in caelum. When the characters loses popularity, they go back to cube form. The reason why they're alone in their worlds is because all the other side characters have disappeared. The main characters themselves don't have much time left. Hamin was a character that was created for an upcoming martial arts webtoon. However, since he has not been revealed to the public, he could not have been born in caelum and would have existed as a cube. It is still unknown how he managed to escape the cube by himself. This also explains why he doesn't have a birth year. His webtoon hasn't been released. When hamin gathers enough starshards, he will be able to expand the rift enough to send a code (the hello message) to characters on the verge of disappearing and transport then to asterum. By gaining love from terra again through their music, they will be able to gain eternal life. Caelum is not just a planet. It's an entity with a will of its own. The characters who had disappeared because of terra's waning interest are revived in caelum as the planet's army. Caligo are nameless fighters who have lost their senses and can only follow caelum's will. When some characters disappear, caligo plays a role in suppressing the rest of the characters who went berserk in order to control the conflict between characters. It's most likely why hamin fought with caligo (villains at the end of w4l) during their concert. These information was actually revealed in their birthday kits and some merch. W4l was them trying to travel to terra from asterum. Putv takes place on Mars. They were stranded on their journey so they decided to set up pl:radio inside the camper. There were no other trainees. Yejun was training but he wanted to train with a friend so he called noah. He then asked noah to join plave. He also called eunho to ask him to join the group. Eunho and noah then asked bamby and hamin respectively. However, it's unknown how yejun joined the company. The tech they used hasn't been officially revealed but there are some guesses. They most likely used inertial mocap, at least during their early days. They probably wear a helmet that's connected to a face tracker as well as their in ear and mic. There are pictures of the cto of their company wearing some of the gear. There were quite a lot of wires. Their tracking has improved a lot so there's a chance that they've changed the mocap equipment they used. They most likely use different suits for their performances and live streams. For mvs, they do film it like normal. Sometimes, they even pick up the camera to film themselves during their livestreams. Putv was actually not a planned released. From time to time, the producer line makes a song during a livestream. Around 2 months ago, they had a livestream where putv was created. Their livestreams are around 2 h on average but they have made a highlight video for it. About 6 months ago, rap line asked yejun to create a rap for wfy because they were doing a livestream where yejun learns how to rap. That's how his iconic rap came about. They then decided to put it in the song. The duet between noah and bamby in watch me woo is about narcissism. Bamby came up with the idea of noah kissing his reflection (bamby). That's why after the kiss, they danced while mirroring each other. Near the end of the song, Bamby dances alone (1) Bamby, eunho and hamin dance (3) Yejun, noah, bamby and eunho dance (4) Hamin appears at the end (1) Hamin came up with the idea because he wanted to express the name of the album (asterum 134-1) Plave do livestreams on TH-cam!
3:50 theres an interview w one of the kpop girl group who danced with hamin in a dance challenge and she said that she was told to dance alone and pretend that theres someone beside him. meaning hamin who danced w her in the challenge was pre-recorded then inserted to her video to make it look like they are both doing the dance challenge ;-) for the concert, it is done live, the boys are still in their mocap suits, then its streamed live to the concert venue. we just dont know if the boys are live at the backstage or live at the vlast company but its all live, streamed to the concert venue. you may wanna watch that Fox singing contest called "alter ego", they are using the same tech, but their singers are literally at the backstage. due to privacy of plave artists, i strongly believe that they are doing the concerts in their own secret AV rooms, otherwise, security for these boys will be tough if they are in the same place as the fans whether it be backstage or not. :-)
Thank you for checking plave, idk why but when you're reacting the 6th summer, you looks so emotional... Hope you love them, tbh... They never make a bad song, and all of their cover songs are great
I really like watching Plave reactions like this because I see multiple reaction vlogs about Plave and they really became a fan along the way 🫶🏻 Thank you for reacting to Plave and making people know about them. Your thoughts about them is genuine 🥺 And I like how you have comments about their vocals, choreo, etc.. and you're taking notes too! love it! Hope you had fun watching them and looking forward to see more Plave content 💙💜💗❤️🖤
Thank you for reacting for Plave!! I hope you can react to more of their content such as their cover songs which are absolute bangers and their side tracks as well! They also have performance videos you should definitely give it a try
Thank you sm for reacting to them!! 39:38 this is just me theorizing, but I think at first Bamby and Hamin did opt for a dance style that looked better with both their type of music, and the technology they had, back when the motion tracking wasn’t as smooth and precise yet. I think this bc the choreography for 'Wait For You' looked pretty smooth, but if you watch Bamby and Hamin’s covers of other groups’ songs during that same era or before, their dance moves didn't look as natural, or they couldn't be very intense, bc when they were, the avatar looked kind of glitchy. Nowadays, their mocap tech has really improved A LOT and keeps improving. It’s definitely more precise and fluid, even when they cover other groups’ songs. So I definitely see them exploring other dance styles in the future. But this is just my theory. Maybe this IS also the kind of dance they like to do, and if that’s the case, I honestly love it. It feels special, like it’s telling a story.
Thank you for checking PLAVE out! I appreciate how you read up on them and watched their title releases in order and even took notes (though you missed out Merry PLLIstmas 😢). I agree that their songs have an emotional aspect to them, probably because they are so involved with the creation from start to finish. So they include their thoughts, feelings, experiences. Others have explained and recommended a lot already. So I won't elaborate further. Hope you continue to check them out and enjoy what else they have to offer. ☺️💙💜💗❤️🖤
Thank you for interesting in Plave! I love that you already did some research and have questions, hope you can find the answer in other comments 😁 They faced many challenges and hatred but they proved themselves that they deserve all the love and respect. Wish you will do more on Plave! 💙💜💗❤️🖤
3:48 I'm not further in to the video so you might've already answered your own questions here and there but i'd digress either way.☺️ There isn't an actual main answer for how videos alongside irl people but the most accurate answers from fans is that firstly the Person will record themself alone and pass it to dduks (team staff) for them to insert plave's dancing videos (aka their model moving) and overlay it. It's kind of a similar technique to normal editing. Just place the base and overlay another video/image which in this case is plave. Some speculate theres someone that dances there for them so they wouldn't be alone which is actually not true! The way the shadows are accurate despite being digital is that dduks use animation shadow tecnique to make it work. I think some fans just forget dduks is a technology company. They're already familiar with editing even shadows. 8:58 Funny that you say that because that is true! But it seems that these days VLAST seems to be discovering more ways to make the equipment more comfortable for the members to wear without struggling to move and access any type of movement due to the equipments.
Hey i love your style of commentary ... very calm and collected like.... i plan on watching your other stuff as well but i noticed that you were noting something down on im guessing an ipad to help keep track of what you've watch and liked. would you be open to making a video showing how you keep track of it all because it looks like you have a lot of groups to watch and i am trying to find a way to keep track of my groups digitally as well. ANYWAY... keep up the good work ill see you in another video

What crazy about them is they make their own music and choreography 🔥
Thank you for checking plave, idk why but when you're reacting the 6th summer, you looks so emotional...
Hope you love them, tbh... They never make a bad song, and all of their cover songs are great
And I think you have to check their live performance like idol radio in Seoul, that's so satisfying... I think you'll love that

ps: also is that ddeongbyeoli on your shelves? 🤣
16:13 true but youd be surprised to know that that song? is for their haters. hehehe hamin even cursed at the first part of the song LOL

3:48 I'm not further in to the video so you might've already answered your own questions here and there but i'd digress either way.☺️
There isn't an actual main answer for how videos alongside irl people but the most accurate answers from fans is that firstly the Person will record themself alone and pass it to dduks (team staff) for them to insert plave's dancing videos (aka their model moving) and overlay it.
YOU NEED TO REACT TO NOAH´S SUGARCOAT COVER

Hey i love your style of commentary ... very calm and collected like.... i plan on watching your other stuff as well but i noticed that you were noting something down on im guessing an ipad to help keep track of what you've watch and liked. would you be open to making a video showing how you keep track of it all because it looks like you have a lot of groups to watch and i am trying to find a way to keep track of my groups digitally as well. ANYWAY... keep up the good work ill see you in another video
