George wrote some of their greatest songs. This one, Something, Taxman. He also contributed uncredited fills and suggestions to the band in recording sessions. They made music the way few bands ever have and part of it was his presence and willingness to help Lennon and McCartney develop an idea for a great song into a great song, and he wasn’t the type to demand credit for every suggestion he made during a recording session. He was a big part of the lighting in the bottle those 4 guys made up.
