It was difficult to set up a big tent alone.
I didn't give up.
I had a delicious dinner listening to the sound of rain.
I experienced the happiness of drinking warm coffee in front of the bonfire

Biloxi, Mississippi USA I've travelled, lived in 4 different countries over many years, camped and sailed all over the world and I can only say, BRAVO I'd camp with you anytime! Nothing stands in your way for long and what a positive outlook you have! I know from experience, the BEST part, and ALL of it was good, but it's getting into a nice, dry and warm sleeping bag AAAAHH!
It must be so peaceful when you're just sitting there, in the rain, admiring the view!

I watched this video from Camarillo,CA, U.S.A. I was impressed that you were able to set up the tent by yourself in the rain let alone when it is dry. Several years ago we went camping in Yosemite,CA and it rained and snowed two days in a row. We had a blast!

I live in Iowa USA now. I used to live in North Carolina where it pours down rain like you have. we used to take hand made boats and travel on the swamp river, sometimes for weeks. water beneath and above! we camped under tarpolines. when it got cold a bunch of us would get into one sleeping bag! wow. we also had jungle hammocks for when the mosquitoes got thick. so much fun.

Congratulations ! I would have give up several times. I could not camp because of the covid since 3 years but your demonstration gives me the taste to enjoy it again next summer. You are very well organized. I have the same tent than yours so it helps me to identify. I just would have added a kayak. The river you showed is very narrow and shallow but so clear and clean. I'm from Northern California. I just returned from camping at the beach. My first night it was super windy and I struggled to get my 1 person tent up in the wind. It was a blustery night but my tent stayed up. The 2nd night was calm winds. Yesterday I rented a kayak and paddled around the bay. It was lovely.

I watched this camping experience from Fillmore, California, USA on TH-cam. I admire your determination to set up the tent in the rain and still make a good night of camping. Where you camped is similar to where I used to camp in the Colorado Rocky Mountains, USA. The stream looks just like ours. Enjoy camping, and have a safe and happy life.
