First Bikepacking Trip & Wild Camping Experience | BIKEPACKING Dartmoor

We headed out from Taunton to the Dartmoor national park for our first ever bikepacking trip with a wildcamp. 90km there and 1500+m of elevation made for a tough ride, but the pub dinner more than made up for it. All of the lightweight bikepacking gear we bought in preparation for the trip worked a treat- let me know if you want to see a video on what kit we used! The Ortlieb bags were a standout piece- super durable and sturdy and completely waterproof. Thoroughly recommended!

Do it! Would be amazing in the summer and you could probably get away with just a bivvy bag and tarp.

That's the plan! Be great to do some trips up and around the Peaks- although the hills definitely hurt a bit more with heavy bikes 😬

@@willcowen2152 yeah, there is a big ride you can do from.Cwm Carn to Afan that I have looked at before.. mtb bike packing, do CC then ride to afan Cross country
