(& before I get jumped yes I know it takes money to build the indoor and outdoor enclosures and it’s not cheap) Trust me this I know for a fact what ever you think you need for retirement seriously TRIPLE IT. All it takes as we get older you or your spouse having a stroke or falling down and breaking a hip hospital bills do not stop and then if they got to go into rehab it’s even worse if you get a 401(k) triple it,, triple it,, triple it…
Yes, it is expensive to build proper enclosures for animals in zoos. Japan is a wealthy country. And if they're not prepared to do what's best for the animals in their care, they need to stop breeding. They've had 14 years to come up with a plan for Komomo and Momoka. These two beautiful gorillas should not have to be on birth control to prevent a pregnancy from their father. What's to happen to Annie of the Shabani troop? Riki, Kiyomasa, Gentaro and Kintaro should be in a bachelor group. It's time for individual Japan zoos to stop claiming ownership of individual animals, and make animal welfare a priority.
I think Momoka was the latest one who started coughing. It was very sweet how Plum and Riki gathered around her to see if she was ok. Momoka didn’t even try to take Plum’s treat from the keeper. Also plum is perfecting her gorilla stride! She would always move in her baby shamble but now her legs are getting longer!😄Feel better gorilla family!🫶🏽
I know friend! I don’t understand why other countries don’t get involved and send for the sisters. It shouldn’t be this hard and no politics involved! It’s ridiculous!😒
