Man, I'm fascinated by animatronics and I'm usually not creeped out by them (I used to be but not anymore), but for some reason these one's specifically make me oddly uncomfortable. It's a feeling like I'm remembering a traumatic experience I had at a place like this, but I'm 16 and I've never seen these things in my life, there's no way I have any sort of experience like that. It just makes me more uncomfortable not knowing why they make me so uncomfortable in such a specific way. I swear I'm like, remembering a past life or something. I just don't understand why I'm feeling such a unique emotion from these things. Sorry, I'm writing this at 1:30 AM and I'm kinda tripping out from exhaustion. It's probably not actually anyrhing unusual, just weird deja vu. My mind messes with me like this a lot. Anyways, aside from my weird discomfort, it's really interesting to see this footage. It's the only actual footage of these specific animatronics that I can find, so it's like an ancient relic from the 70s. I talked to my mom about these things and she told me she went to a Chuck E. Cheese with her little gremlin nephew (whos now a succesful grown adult) when she was a teenager, and it was right around this era, so she may have actually seen these in person, or at least the generation after these. She doesn't remember the animatronics that much though, she just remembers being incredibly disturbed by the guy running around in a rat costume lmao.
These are like the 'V2' portrait bots, right? They have the quasi-Cyberamic ball eyes (except for Munch) with the hard eye-lids instead of the googly-eye and fabric eyelids.
these are the Kooser bots. Winchester had the V2 bots, but only for Chuck and Crusty. After Winchester and Kooser opened, every PTT opened with Cyberamics (the Warwick, Rhode Island PTT opened with a Family Album interestingly)
I know I'm late but whatever They actually didn't have mechs back then. Because of their different designs/movements there would've been no point. Instead they just fixed motors and joints directly to the fiberglass frame and layed the latex fabric over it. Nothing too remarkable. Hope this helps! :)

I don't know for sure, but my best guess as to why they changed from latex is because latex can be prone to slightly melting and becoming misshapen over time. I might be wrong though idk.
For those curious on what songs they were singing, the first one is “Hooray for Hollywood” while the second one is “Down by The Old Mill Stream,” I could be wrong though. As for the showtape, it’s sadly lost.
