Wonderful video, the 360 cameras are fabulous! I watched and was thinking "is he solo???", your description answers that! Are you running through the middle, but surfing more at the edges and shoulders? And if so, is that because you are solo and being a bit conservative, such as not maybe pitchpoling? I'd love to see a bit more of the fast surfs looking sideways or behind - I had the impression the last shots where you did that were not the fastest. We have a somewhat similar feature here, "Baynes Channel overfalls" that can get interesting even with relatively small waves. I've never been out in a big day there.
Suffering Jesus this scared the shit out of me. I'm just getting use to my Taran 16 and I love the boat. I would have spent most of the time under the boat. Total noonbie question but you make staying topside look so effortless what tips do you have?
Probably not the answer you want really. It's a long term steady progression in skills, knowledge and experience. First learn to roll. Then practice until you have a strong roll. This then gives you the freedom and confidence to push out into more challenging moving water conditions, you should then learn and be able to enjoy yourself at the same time. I've added a post to the PSK Clubhouse asking this, see if we get any takers: facebook.com/groups/pskclubhouse/permalink/1811625285712049/
@@Master-di4di Yes I'm working on my rolls and have done a few successfully. Just trying to find a way to skip the hard work of practice......lol. Cheers.

@@performanceseakayak What, there is no shortcut? I know it's the right answer and much appreciated.Cheers.
If you want to get out to this? Learn to roll. Other part is balance, let your hips/paddle roll to balance then every thing is easy. Having fun.

@@boutthere3374 If you are having fun, practice is not hard work. If you can roll without thinking, you are good. Rolling Instructor.
Gorgeous. Been watching your channel for a long time - this is some of your best video in my opinion. What camera are you using?
