you can hold ice cubes to perform this same massage but balls, sticks, whatever, is nicer to use. Maybe there is a difference in the quality of gel inside, and ergonomics so whatever works for you, I think!

Amazon has them for $25. They look the same as the BR ones and come in a nice case. I didn’t want to spend $120 on them.
