That was to only let green cubes into the intake, but if you want to also be able to do purple cubes, you can take it off. I'm not 100% sure it's a good idea to be only able to do green cubes.
hello, i have a little problem with my robot on the coding part. when I programmed it to stop moving the arm when it reaches the point that it's perfect for scoring, it always moves down by itself because the head (intake) is heavy. Is there a way that I could just lock the arm in place when I want to like the video shown in programming or physically... I'm kindof having a headache right now. I built different robot with different designs, and this is the only robot that the intake doesn't get stuck so I think it's gonna be great for driving. Thank you is anyone can help me... !!!
Sure, head to this link and enter your email and we'll email you pictures of the robot www.studentroboticseducation.com/vex-iq-robotics-2023-blockbuster/
Yes we are using 2 motors. It makes the lift able to be stronger and go faster, and we didn't have anywhere else to use them. As is the robot only uses 5 motors
It looks very similar to SuperLinq... how did you manage to make the two gears that bring in the blocks be able to take in both purple and green blocks?
This robot can only do green blocks, but with a simple modification it can do purple too. I'm not quite sure what you mean by the two gears, can you explain more?
@@Joseph973 What I mean is that the spinning gears that promote the robots' intake. The ones with that bar in the middle and the rubber bands wrapped around.
@@DestinyMartinezREALTOR It just depends on the spacing between the roller and the bottom of the intake. Try different spacings, and see if you can find one that works
@@Joseph973 Im sorry if i ever offended you Joseph but i am rebuilding your robot since it is just so good!!!! by the way it is going to be the first competition robot i will ever build without instructions because i do not have a lot of experience
Hi Joseph, I got 85 points for this video (not sure what I have missed)? This is what I got: 1st goal - 5 points 2nd goal - 9 points 3rd goal - 3 points + 8 points 3 x uniform goals - 30 points 3 reds off - 15 points Partial Park - 5 points Height bonus - 10 points Total = 85 points BTW, I like the design of this robot, it is less complicated to build.
Hello, I believe we scored 31 green blocks, and I think you counted 25. Because 31 greens start on the field, and there are none left at the end of the match. Thank you for pointing that out though, if I ever mess up on something I do appreciate you letting me know
Yes they are brothers Joseph is the one driving in all of Ben kippers videos, in fact you can see him in some videos I’m sick of people saying he is copying the design
This robot is getting so much points thanks so much for the inspiration joseph i can not wait to see your next robot designs
nice videography! quality keeps getting better! 😁👍
Great build.
do you have pictures for the robot please?
Hey Joseph! Would like please to share the design/instructions? Thank you so much
do u mind showing the under part of the tray? me and my team made it to worlds and re trying to build this bot!
Well done on winning today!
this is so helpful, it helped me with driving.
I need help, the arm won't raise it high enough to score points
nice bot. one thing you can do is experiment with having the intake be able to move up and down using rubber bands to accommodate the purple cubes.
Hmm interesting idea... 💡 We'll look into it
@@Joseph973 you could also put a claw for the red cubes, but a big issue would be torque. that could be fixed with some rubber banding, though.
@@some.randomdude I think the issue much more important than the red cubes is time
shut up
the reason why the robot doesn't pick up purple cubes is because the current robot gets a guaranteed uniform bonus.
Hi, I loved the video can you please make a video on how to make the robot?
were you using a controller or programming
Where can I find the instructions
What is the purpose of the bar at the front of the intake. Deciding on if it’s necessary.
That was to only let green cubes into the intake, but if you want to also be able to do purple cubes, you can take it off. I'm not 100% sure it's a good idea to be only able to do green cubes.

Ok, nvm now, I finally saw the set "object" stopping to brake block.. I've been doing vex iq for this long and I didn't realize that.
@@dunko302 No problem, I'm glad you figured it out
How do you build it?
quien me puede facilitar el manual o guía de instrucción para construir este modelo, gracias
Is this a four bar lift? Do you have any helpful links to help my team build this?
Yes, this is a 4-bar lift. I'd look at some of the close up shots and other videos on TH-cam to see how you can build one

Another thing you can try is to have the intake floating so that it can lift up to accommodate the larger purple cubes

Go ahead and try it yourself and come back with any specific questions you have

I’m some of the goals it looks like u got fill level 2 in 2 goals actually so this is 111 maybe ?
Fill level is counted by the fill level of the lowest goal, and since the lowest goal is fill level 1, it's only 10 bonus points.
Are u sure about that I thought it was fill level counted for each goal seperate
