THANK you. Windows 11 bugged and had two languages to choose from in the language bar but only one showed in the settings so I couldn't uninstall it. Step 1 of your guide worked perfectly. :)
i should know those steps by memory by now, with each damned windows update i come back to this video to follow the steps again. and from now i will smack a comment every time im in here to show appreciation.
Unfortunately it did not worked for me , i'm really mad about Microsoft. I only have one language on settings menu, but have three keyboard layouts no task bar, i have tried everything, and nothing worked, every time i setup the language i want it automatically creates the other two after restart.
Hi all, I had the same issue and only the following solution worked for me. I installed only the languages that I needed and deleted the languages that the system would let me delete from >Language settings< Then it was showing me 2 times the same language (Spanish) on the language bar and English - United Kingdom that I could not remove. I went to: Settings > Time & language > Language & region Scrolled down and selected: > Administrative language settings Tab: Administrative Selected: Copy settings Ticked on both: Welcome screen and system accounts New user accounts
Thank's at last something that works 👍🏻👍🏻 I tried all the methods none worked but this fix the issue of having English US and English UK at the same time. Again Thanks.
perfect! my problem solved by Step 1) Use this command- This will remove all languages except US English $1 = New-WinUserLanguageList en-US Set-WinUserLanguageList $1 Restart your PC Now you can add the language which you want
I was searching for this for a while!!!!!!! I had a floating keyboard layout that was NOT in the settings so I couldn't delete it. With this it was finally gone!!!! THANKS
Had this UK "ghost" keyboard language layout where it was not visible in Settings. Was sceptical about this video, but BOOM - worked like a charm. Thanks! Leaving a like.
I've followed all the steps, and at first it seems like it's removed the unwanted languages, but later if I reboot on logon screen and on the taskbar it shows the language symbol, and when I click on it, it still hast the 2 languages, even though I have already removed it. How do I fix this?
It's great. But what if I need to delete ONLY US English language that don't even visible in Settings -> Time & Language -> Language & Region. I tried to delete it via console, and it worked for a little, but then it's just keep appearing in system's keyboard layouts list. Why is it happening?
Thank you. After a Win11 update, there was suddenly an english keyboard in the toolbar, but it wasn't in the settings, so there was no way to remove it. Adjusting this script to da-DK and running it, helped me get rid of that annoying extra language, which by the way would randomly switch between that and the default Danish i was normally using. Amazing how a billion dollar company can fuck up that bad.
I'm trying to remove the en-US keyboard so that I can only have the English (United States) United States-International keyboard and the Hebrew (Standard) keyboard. Do you know if there is a way to do this permanently? The en-US keyboard is not listed as an installed keyboard in my language settings. I can install and uninstall it, but it would be nice to not have to do that every time I turn on my computer. Thank you
After following the 2 steps, I still have the Spanish keyboard input. I have the Windows set to English by default, but there is no way to remove the Spanish input keyboard. Any solution for this?
Best thing ever. So tired of the international language english. I keep thinking my keyboard is fubar'd and making type double letters and such. Nope was the stupid international Englishj language.. Thank god for this solution
I have 3 language. 1) UK look like default window install but problem is cant type @ 2) US is I would like to use 3) TH is my born language So, I do all step from your video, when I'm restart and add Thai language, the UK always comback as well. How to do it by not reinstal window11 ?
hi, thanks a lot for your video. I am, however, one step away from success. After putting in "Y", the PowerShell gave me a warning: "WARNING: If the Windows Display Language has changed, it will take effect after the next sign-in." And then nothing happened afterward. I hope you can help me with it. Again, thanks
thank you for this!! i couldn't figure out how to get UK keyboard off my computer even though it was installed it wasnt showing in settings so i couldn't remove it.. thank you!!!
There is actually an easier way. Without the need to edit the registry. GOTO Settings, GOTO Time&Language, GOTO Language&Region, GOTO Additional parameters and press 'Administrative Language Parameters' and there you synchronize it to your chosen windows language. The reason behind the language coming back is actually tied to your windows installation. Somehow microsoft didn't link it to the new interface
Thanks! I get mad coding with visual studio that switch automatically in english when i have spanish layout. This problems was very annoying and frustrating. Thanks again.
I am you 130th liker.. I am on windows 10 but it still worked so I am happy ... I have a problem when i installed windows 10 again cause my pc was running low and now when i opened it the wifi driver is missing or not working I tried installing a new driver by ethernet but it shows installation blocked.
if you have two engligh inputs and no option to delete, set the language to the one you want to delete and keyboard as well, then switch back to the original language, the one u want to remove will appear, just uninstall
thank you it worked it was pissing me off cuz chines and a few other language was added to my keyboard for some reason and i couldent find it on settings
Thanks so much for this. My problem was that I was able to remove the English (US-International) keyboard in Settings, and it would disappear for a while, but it kept coming back. I'm hoping that your second step - editing the registry - will do the trick and make this change permanent. Thanks for the very clear instructions!
Thanks man! I was losing my mind because of this! Any idea why I wasn't able to remove the language the normal way? Keep it up man, appreciate the help!

@Nurahmed Kashgari Thanks, but it still not working, all the same, only have one language on settings and appears 3 layout keyboards on task bar.

Again Thanks.
perfect! my problem solved by
Step 1) Use this command- This will remove all languages except US English
$1 = New-WinUserLanguageList en-US
Set-WinUserLanguageList $1
Restart your PC
Now you can add the language which you want
This FINALLY fixed my issue... I had it for months and no matter how many tricks I did, It was coming back with extra languages.. thanks!
I was searching for this for a while!!!!!!!
I had a floating keyboard layout that was NOT in the settings so I couldn't delete it.
With this it was finally gone!!!! THANKS
You're welcome!!
It didnt work permanetly in my case. Tried both methods, but when restarting the 4 keyboard languages appear again.
Any other idea?
Didn't work for me. All languages except English are deleted in the Settings, but they're still visible and can be used from the Taskbar.
Same to me
It worked perfectly. I needed tto remove UK english layout but couldn't find it in settings. This was the way to do it! Thank you man!
Great to hear!
How can i remove ONLY the additional keyboard layouts? I need to keep the different languages for a couple of reasons, but not the keyboards.
Thanks a lot , but i have a question , what is that back up , why did we do that ?
Doing as you said step by step, worked perfectly. Thank you very much!
Great to hear!
thanx :)@@AaronTechSol
Thank you SO much for this, my computer had a random keyboard I had no way to remove since it was nowhere in the settings and it was driving me nuts!
Thank you so much OMG. This was so frustrating for me, I simply couldn't remove a language from my task bar but this worked.
Had this UK "ghost" keyboard language layout where it was not visible in Settings.
Was sceptical about this video, but BOOM - worked like a charm.
Thanks! Leaving a like.
Tyvm man, this was the only way to remove the other language for me.
Thanks once again for explaining, why windows are so complicated.
Thank You for heping i was searching for this video for a long Time
Glad I could help
@@AaronTechSol hi, i can't download languages pack on Windows11 home, Error code 0x80072f8f, could help me please. Thank you.
Thanks bro! I FINALLY deleted all language i had! Thanks
Welcome 👍
when i put in the second command i get "Cannot bind argument to parameter 'LanguageList' because it is null."
Thank you! You saved me from reinstalling windows!!
If I run sfc /scannow it will come back ?
Thanks man! These languages are annoying that I don't use.
Thank you I had only one language installed but the input was showing 3.
The registry trick worked.
I've followed all the steps, and at first it seems like it's removed the unwanted languages, but later if I reboot on logon screen and on the taskbar it shows the language symbol, and when I click on it, it still hast the 2 languages, even though I have already removed it. How do I fix this?
Any idea how I can do this for windows 7? I'm not too sure what to do in the registry editor
It's great. But what if I need to delete ONLY US English language that don't even visible in Settings -> Time & Language -> Language & Region.
I tried to delete it via console, and it worked for a little, but then it's just keep appearing in system's keyboard layouts list. Why is it happening?
Thanks! For people with British English: in command change en-US to en-GB. (not UK)
Thank you, I've had this reoccurring issue when my language would keep switching, and it got very annoying. So, I appreciate this a lot.
Great to hear!
Does it also work for Windows 10?
Both methods didnot work for me, sir. Is there any more I can do to remove unwanted language on the taskbar (still not in languages list)?
Thank you. After a Win11 update, there was suddenly an english keyboard in the toolbar, but it wasn't in the settings, so there was no way to remove it. @@RedPainSam Yes, the second step - editing the registry - seems to have fixed my problem too. Very grateful.
Unbelievable that in windows 11 you don't have a basic removal function. What are these people drinking at work.
Thanks. I solved a painful problem
