I'm done with hummingbird. They fail when you need them most. I've been a die-hard hummingbird fan since the early 2000s. I've owned 6 units since then and 3 of them failed really early. My most recent two failed days before a fishing tourney. Both. Of. Them. A year apart before the same tournament. The story goes like this. Last year around this time prefishing the day before a fishing tourney my GPS completely quits working. Nothing could be done to get it to work. Not a spare gps puck either. On this particular lake you need GPS and a map because there's alot of flooded hazards. It was a couple years old and out of warranty. So I decided to upgrade to the new mega g2n version with side imaging because I use that alot. I planned on just using the defective one on the bow. So in a way that problem was diverted. I was happy I purchased the newer model until yesterday when the side imaging completely quit. Once again days before the same tourney the last one malifunctioned last year. What I could do is use both them side by side and since I can get all the functions I want out of the two working together but that means I'll be out of warranty once my tournament is over. I'm done with hummingbird. After this, I looked around my garage and realized I kept spare transducers, and gps pucks for these units all these years as if holding spare parts is normal for owning a fish finder. I'm done with hummingbird they cannot make a reliable unit and it's been this way since the early 2000s. If you can make a die hard hummingbird user like me have enough then there are serious issues. They no longer are ahead of the game like they were when they released side imaging at an affordable cost. Now they are lacking behind Garmin. I'm going to drop 2k on a Garmin tomorrow, send this POS in to get repaired and then sell on eBay. A 1300 unit is good for one year? And believe it or not I take care of my stuff.

what was loose inside your unit. I have the same problem.
Your lucky if nothing got short circuited. You may damaged the electronics. Better to find out what part is loose inside.
The screen is upside down on my 899 ci hd si humminbird
