Some ppl like to think that metalheads hate Elektronik music but that is not always the case, in my case i was always a fan of Depeche Mode, Ladytron Aphex Twin, etc etc and even Euronymous was a fan of techno
Tell me not... They should make a movie on JDs life before korn and begin it in high school and end it after korns self titled was a success.... So it'd probably be a long movie because that's covering his sexart times high school times, recording things in high school and what he did outside of school. That'd be fucking great but I don't know who would play him. Please share this to at least try and get it out there to be made because I know all of you think about what he went through in life
Aaron Saber also include the rest of korns members. Giving a back story to each member, try not to focus too much on just one. David, Munky and Fieldy were all in L.A.P.D. together so you're just focusing on 3 bands. Korn, Sexart and L.A.P.D. Start the movie with them in their high school setting to show what they were doing at the time, their home life, how they were treated in school, hobbies other than music, how they met. Even go into Jonathan's dark past if he is comfortable with that, Show his jobs at pizza hut and as a coroner's assistant. Try to fit that into a 1 hour window, then really take off with the music. Fitting it into a 3-4 hour movie which I'd be fine with. It would be a fantastic movie Id definitely pay to see, I'd pay double the ticket costs to see this film.
Easy, you don't. Nah for real tho Jonny boy is impossible to hate, unless you're a stereotypical teenager that says "Hashtag" under your breath every 10 seconds
This is frickin' awesome! I was so into this style music in high school also. I would have been head over heels in love with him back then just the same as I am now though I'm a few years older than he. I love you so much JD. You are a talent extraordinare! XO
I think they called this stuff new wave back in the day. Jonathan Davis is insanely talented making music. its takes all five guy in korn to really make korn what it is even without David I think Ray is the better drummer and korn has evolved bigger then what it would have with David. But there is no questions that Jon Davis is the driving force of Korn
@@axlreese4766 maybe someone from his HS? I think I remember an interview where JD said he used to like give out tapes of his music or sell them something like that. He was a DJ so... Possibly someone found his tapes and decided to upload it online, idk.
wow... finally someone replys to this. thank you man! it should happen. instead of people thinking about what happened to JD and what happened with slipknot, put it on motion picture. hey man, we should try and contact a director or something... i think it could be pulled off easily
Well it is said on Wiki that our boy's fav band were Flock of Seagulls. Also there are videos with him covering Duran Duran, u can check it out. So its very evident even now how sensitive and st shy JD is. So for me its not a big surprise. New Wave was so popular all throughout 80s: Soft Cell, New Order, DM, Roxy Music, Visage, Talk Talk etc. And even now there are new bands. For example this song sounds very similar to early Lust for Youth demos
Thats a very good point there my friend. I was thinking the exact same thing about Slipknot not to mention that they have a very long history and movies about slipknot and korn should really be made. I mean, They made a movie about Eminem called 8 Mile for Christ sake! :S.
I wish he would re-record this song today. This rules! I like how you can hear his singing style from some Korn songs here seems like the influences were building from the beginning. I never really thought of new wave being sort of an influence to nu metal but it makes some amount of sense now that I hear this. The rhythm and melodies are there, the intensity and distortion (and funk) are missing of course, but I can hear the influence.
There is no denying he had talent even without a band. Holy shit!!!!! This is good.
dude is legion status
Queen of the damned soundtrack was a testament of how talented he is.
You can clearly hear The Cure influence in this, very awesome JD.
And Soft Cell, tons of great 80s stuff.
Faith no more vibes too
New wave is the genre this type of music is called i think it encompasses stuff like goth and cold wave as well
He went from this to koRn and its unbelievable
Niko Götz - That joke was really good....

His voice when he was in high school... So cute. The start of his musical career was building up slowly but surely. Damn good bop!

So you were there?
lmao
I've just finished listening to this song for the first time.
And this is why J.D. loves dubstep and dance music so much! He is getting back to his true roots this way!
any kind of music he makes i love
This song sounds like a combination of both 80s pop synth bands The human league & Depeche Mode.
Agree

Exactly! His voice here is so sweet and angelic! 💖
i need this to be redone by him
You have no idea what you’ve done for me JD. Thank you so much for saving my life.
Imagine a timeline where Korn was a successful new wave goth band along the ranks of the cure and depeche mode
Is that not what LAPD was?
@@NoBandwidth-0LAPD was more Funk then new wave
I always thought he had some inspirations in Depeche Mode . This footage prove it. Thank you!
i really wish i was already born when korn first started :( ahhh
This song gives early 2000's internet vibes, CS 1.6 and so.
So many fucking nights, I have slept to this song on loop. It's really relaxing!

Damn this nigga sanged freestyle Latin hip hop before korn!? Daaamn! No wonder he rocked Adidas track suits, he would break dance to this.
in there mtv unplugged he already said that he was a fan of robert smith of the cure back in high school, i appreciate how he try on this genre
Recorded way after highschool during a breakup with a long term Gf. 1 of 2 songs, that I'm aware of, that he said are specifically about that Gf.
brilliant. even this school demo is better electronic/goth/wave music than smashing pumpkins new record!!
I would start to break dance, but I can't break dance. *Holds back* 😆
80s funk with a 90s rave twist

Electro, House, Hi-nrg, Freestyle, and Synth pop all in one track, impressive. Deserves a remake

So he has always had talent and a good ear
Looks like Depeche Mode style (Violator Era). And there are some Kraftwerk beats (2:04)
