I've seen em a couple times. Their 2012 album aged really well and is super nostalgic to me. I even loved their last album. I feel like this whole scene of music has been forgotten. Love Zac as an artist I think he's really underrated/hope for a comeback

I love this interview that makes me want to see the future of music as never before (and thanks to it i discovered 100 gecs). Very good interviewer and Zac is funny and interesting. I'd love to have another episode with FIDLAR's frontman.

That's so rad. Thank you so much for dropping a line. So glad you found the podcast! Yeah I'd love to talk to them more, they seem to be pretty low key right now, but I have SO much respect for the band. Also yo yesss! 100 gecs is so good! I hope you click around this channel and find some more interviews you like as well. And let me know if you have any other suggestions for guests!

@@WhereAreAllMyFriendsPodcast Well if you ask :) : in this way of doing the interview, giving good vibes and interesting questions it would be mostly Dan Auerbach from the Black Keys that I’d love to see interviewed by you, but I don’t know if I’m asking for too much

I have listened to Fidlar since like 2012 and never actually seen a Zac only interview lol. I'm surprised you even got him on. Though I don't think I am into most electronic stuff personally (except like old school and people who are kinda adjacent like Oliver Tree), his ideas were definitely making sense. Even if you're a "rock band" (even though that's the best way to describe my band's shit), you don't have to be a certain way anymore. Especially when your band has a lot of different influences. You can use your 90s emo, pop punk, and hardcore. But also mix in your Tyler the Creator and Amy Winehouse type shit and people can enjoy it. Most who don't like genre mixing are older folks that didn't grow up with the internet. I think that's something kinda unique for generation Y and earlier Z. We grew up with the traditional way to grow in music but also watched it decimate. The internet is one of the best things to happen to music. I wouldn't have even known half the music I know if I didn't search for some songs/movies on YT and fell down the rabbit hole. I think the "future of music" can't even be defined. We will have a lot of different shit to process.

Honestly, that's super well put. And much much respect to you for keeping such an open mind on all the different genres and evolution of it all, even if it's not all for you. Also I'm so honored to provide a good Zac interview for a diehard FIDLAR fan. That makes my day!

@@WhereAreAllMyFriendsPodcast I have always been around other genres that's kinda why I am. mom is a boomer and my sisters are millennials. So I grew up with classic and 90s rock with some country and blues. Grew up in the 2000s with all the weird shit that came out. Then the internet really expanded my tastes tbh. Hence why younger vs older are much more likely to enjoy certain types of music. And yeah, you could say that. I have a FIDLAR tattoo lmao.

when i was 20 i was really really REALLY in to fidlar beside the fact that they as a band sounded sick,it was all behind it,fidlar = living the moment ,i did tons of drugs, had lots of fun ,basically FIDLAR and then they made the second album that FOR ME was a disappointment, also time went by now i'm 24 and can't relate a lot ,i still do drugs but don't go as hard like when i was 20,23
thanks so much for the first album,i know music change, you change as artists and i just wish you the best for you :)
sorry for my english i'm not a native speaker
