I don't know, the note about it being handmade and therefore "imperfections" are to be expected feels like a cop out. For the amount you're paying for it, those "little imperfections" definitely start to look like defects...
I feel like they wholesale the babies from over seas. Technically still handmade but not designer made

The thing with painting is that it isn´t just small business. It goes from dolls to action figures.
In the case of action figures, sure, if the character or what the character wears is mainly green a machine will make the body/armor green. But the rest of the details are hand painted. That´s why no single figure is the same and there are always chances of imperfections.
That being said, one thing is that a certain color didn´t cover an entire part designated to it and another is that, let´s say, the face has painting dots from a different color. That would be quality control and you may ask for a new one.
...another topic would be specific items that are painted/decorated by machines and the results must be perfect.

You could reseal the star with fabric glue. Sometimes people use that to seal holes in squishies because it is flexible.

I guess the silicones are the most widespread outside of the Reborn community but honestly, I hear about vinyls much more often. Might be because I’m active in the community though.
