    Good job, Michael,the long handle,gives you more energy,in your swing, important to have the block,at the right height,for maximum impact,👍👍

    Very useful advice as usual Michael. Minus 30 degrees C. today so no chopping.

      Roy, I can imagine no chopping. At that temperature, I believe, metal can become brittle. Thanks again for the comment!

    Good advice Mick. What sort of tree was is it? Did it fall or did you cut it? Is it down long?

      Paul, It was Sitka Spruce, one of six that I cut down that same week-end. There is a about two more week-ends of work of cutting into blocks and doing the splitting.
