About to watch this, but I wanted to share this first, before I forget. I'll try leaving the link in a reply to this comment, but in case it doesn't work, it's for Babymetal Reactor Resource. It's a channel made to help reactors out with block issues. The link is to Future Plans video. Check the description for a spreadsheet with some of the best live performances of each song. Most of which aren't on YT. Also a downloader and logos to put on the video. Any questions, just ask.
They have many live videos where the crowd is in mosh pits. In fact all Su has to do at them is to command them to do it, and even just twirl her finger to get the pits going. It's incredible to see this young girl tell a crowd of metalheads to show her a big circle pit and they do it.
This is the 10 BabyMetal years anniversary shows at the Budokan in Japan. It was 2021 and covid restrictions where in place limited audience around six thousand . They where not allowed to shout sing and had to wear face masks . No doubt FlugelHorn Old Man will be along soon and give you lot more info he was there and has better knowledge of these shows . James McClung in comments has give you a great link to a fan made site with lots of good videos like this . read the directions carefully 😁🤘🦊🤘
Good reaction - and finally you got live audio with Su's and Moa's live vocals and the Kami Band live. OK it was a compilation, but from the Budokan shows, so same stage and costumes, no "wrong" musicians playing others' solos etc. I will second the suggestions you already have in the comments.
⚡ 💀 💕 / 👻 👻 👻 There's a good reason this was the featured single from the second album, 'Metal Resistance'. They made a lot of friends among Metal bands by playing a bunch of festivals, and this song converted quite a few. The choreography was a big hit as well. : ) As is usually the case, the riffs are heavier live. Like a lot of BABYMETAL songs, this one has a positive message about facing life's challenges. Since Moa will turn 23 on July 4th, 2022, I'd recommend the 'LEGEND M' performance of 'Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!'. You've reacted to the music video, but this particular live performance from 2019 that celebrated Moa's 20th birthday is a very special one.
Karate @ Budokan 2021. Su-Metal [Single Ponytail] is 24 & Moametal [Double Ponytail] is 23 are the original members of Babymetal. Momokometal [Freehair] is the Avengers is 19. "Karate" is a song by the Japanese heavy metal band Babymetal from their second studio album, Metal Resistance. Babymetal is the only metal 🤘 band that has a full set of choreographed dance moves which catered and suited for every songs which credited to Mikikometal for the choreography. BABYMETAL is the youngest act to perform at the Budokan and artists need to be invited to perform there. Nippon Budokan (日本武道館, Nippon Budōkan), often shortened to simply Budokan, is an indoor arena located in Chiyoda, Tokyo, Japan. Originally built for the inaugural Olympic judo competition in the 1964 Summer Olympics, its name translates as Martial Arts Hall in English. While its primary purpose is to host martial arts contests, the arena has gained additional fame as one of the world's most iconic musical performance venues. A number of famous rock music acts have played at Budokan. The Beatles were the first rock group to play there in a series of concerts held between June 30 and July 2, 1966. ABBA ended their last tour there. Their final show on March 27, 1980, was the last live concert ABBA performed together. Numerous acts have recorded live albums at Budokan, including Bryan Adams, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Cheap Trick, Dream Theater, Duran Duran, Kiss, Mr. Big, Ozzy Osbourne, Judas Priest, Journey and Deep Purple. Great reaction. Kitsune Up🤘🤘🤘🦊🦊🦊🇯🇵🇸🇬#notacult.
_Seiya se se se seiya!_ _Ossu!_ 🦊🤘🔥 Thanks for sharing this, this live compilation is actually more digestible than others because all of them belongs to different takes from the same series of live concerts called "10 BABYMETAL Years" Budokan in 2021, you will appreciate SuMetal more mature voice but the crowd here was reduced to halve the capacity due to pandemic restrictions. But you got another safe to react version live at Download Festival 2016 with more crowd participation and a beautiful SuMetal improvisation. I'm fine if you go for official MV (if it's available) and then live version, just be careful with the live compilations, you won't find always live compilations like this one, that's why we recommend "Babymetal Reactor Resource". Thanks anyway once again and see you next time 🦊🤘
I’m so glad you liked this song! It’s definitely one of my favorites! I think you’d really love the song Rondo Of Nightmare! This performance is very good and it has an intro from the Kami band! It’s actually at the same stadium as this video, but a different year! th-cam.com/video/8WBDiLMNZcE/w-d-xo.html
It would be great to go through a complete live performance but most will get blocked. A miracle you got this through. Budokan shows are great but it is (mostly) seating only. Watch any of the shows in Makuhari Messe, Yokohama, any of the Japanese metal festivals for crazy mosh/circle pit and wall of death.
Ok so theres this Babymetal performance of BMC at NHK Songs Of Tokyo 2020 and if you're willing to watch the whole thing Su and Moa talk about the elements of their dancing like what's involved and they even talk about a treasured memory so yea I hope you watch it at some point
I read a Koba interview about the crowd noices and as far I remember (I'll try to keep it short): The audience wasn't allowed to sing shout and sheer SO all the crowd noices are pre-recorded and yes for each song the sounds are from previous performances of the songs so the sounds are accurate and fitting for each song. And the volume was put out so it sounded as real as possible for those who were at those 10 Budokan shows. It was like you had a DJ who sat there and worked only with the crowd noice and not like you can have at sporting events when somebody just pushes a special effect button to make some noice.
Nice one, thanks! The 10 BABYMETAL Budokan shows are among my favorite just because they are incredibly visually appealing. There are downsides like the crowd sound having to be produced (even live) due the strict restrictions placed to ensure the safety of the attendees. But that is just another sign of their extreme attention to the detail. And this is the "perfect" compilation video since they performed this song on each of the ten concerts so we have up to five different BDs for the video source all at the same venue and stage, same outfits, etc.
Some may have suggested this one already but it really got started in 2014 at Sonisphere. There's very little chance it will get blocked. Talk about "little ", they were around 17 and 15 years-old.
you mentioned how little they used to be, yeah, they are growing up before our eyes. Su is now 24 and Moa will be 23 Monday. If you get the chance you should watch the "Official" m/v to this song. Though Live is always better, the m/v better tells the "story" of the song. From live you just see three young women fighting, but from the m/v you better see it's about over coming obstacles and never giving up, even if the obstacle is oneself. I;'m not sure what songs you have done so far, but I've seen a lot of people react to headbanger (legend 1997) and Road of Resistance (Live from japan) without issues
YES! More Babymetal! More live performance recommendations (if you haven't yet): 🦊 Kimi To Anime Ga Mitai - It's a cover they did. Yui & Moa has many parts. Su's vocals shine because of Yui & Moa's many parts, hence, the contrast. Oh, and the insanely kawaii coreography 🦊 Night Night Burn - Shows the diversity of Babymetal. Metal + Salsa/Latin. Many consider it to be Babymetal's "most matured" performance. 🦊 Catch me if you can - Kami Band shines at the beginning. Another genius choreo and performance all in all. Legit Kawaii Metal Hope any of these gets picked. Either way, keep it up man!
Great reaction 🤘 I love the idea of doing an entire concert 👍 I forget which reactor did that, but they did the world changing 2014 Sonisphere concert and it was awesome. I would love to see you do that one as well. There aren't too many doing this so it's always a treat to watch! Keep up the good work 🦊🤘
@@Mattables If you go for a full live show reaction, please be aware that full performance at Sonisphere 2014 is only available as fancam compilations. However there's a pro-shot video on the official channel of the last song of their set there, _Ijime, Dame, Zettai:_ th-cam.com/video/Ro-_cbfdrYE/w-d-xo.html and I highly recommend it for one of your next reactions (and I'm sure it is also safe in terms of blocking). And great reaction again, also thanks for moving on to live Babymetal! Waiting to see more of your BM experience 🤘🦊
All BABYMETAL live performances are great, there are a bunch of different live versions of Karate on TH-cam...a big favorite for many is the one from Download Festival 2016. It's very raw and in your face...and it rained a lot (Drownload).
Su has a lethal death glare, but she also gets smiley and animated. Oh Majinai and Gimme Chocolate, Arkadia, Catch Me If You Can, etc. Queen Su graces us with beautiful smiles all the time. And Moa has the best, most mischievous metal face ever. You've just got to find better live videos. The BabyMetal Reactor Resource can hook you up with just that. 🤘🦊🤘
Well observed that they never just 'perform' their shows. The girls say they become inhabited by the Fox God as they get ready to go out on stage. Their producer/manager, Koba-metal, once commented to the effect he sees this and is both in awe and frightened as the girls transform into who you see in these performances.
You really need to checkout Karate from Download 2016. That is my goto vid to show my friends what Babymetal is all about. Other people might show Headbanger, Road of Resistance, or Rondo of Nightmare..... Those are great performances, don't get me wrong, but in that performance is basic Babymetal. You have Su's Vocals, the Kamiband rocking out, Yui and Moa leading the crowd, and the Crowd participation. In their Japan mega concerts you'd expect the Japanese crowd to go bonkers, but to see the look of surprise on my friends faces, when they witness a sea of non-Japanese metal heads, singing along with 3 little Japanese girls... That is priceless.😁😁😁🤘🦊🤘
Great reaction like always!! If you'd like to know a little bit about this band, you should react to A Babymetal Guide. It's a video here on TH-cam, it's pretty long but it covers pretty much everything there is to know about this band -- their origin story, the trials & tribulations they've encountered through their 12+ years of doing this, etc. I think you'd find it pretty interesting!!
If you truly want to watch an entire show of them (which is of course the best way to experience BABYMETAL) you'll probably have to do that on Twitch. I'd expect around 75 to 150 viewers for such a show based on having done this with other reactors quite a few times.
As far as full shows... Maybe down the road a ways you could stream on Twitch. Stuff like that won't fly on YT. I've seen live streams get shut down stupid quick. Maybe before getting to that point, you could react to the Babymetal guide. Just some thoughts.
