"I don't want anything touching my phone!" - love the way you said this, totally agree

Wow the blue really makes a difference inside the pockets. Thanks for the reviews.

I laughed so hard when you tossing the revelate mag tank 🤣 100% agrees with your reasons, the design and materials are good but the price are ridiculously high for top tube bag. For that amount, I can get a set of chinese brand bikepacking setup

Awesome! And it barely holds anything!

Very helpful. I burnt out a phone screen on that top window ages ago. Not good. I’m with you…it’s all about the side pockets. However I do like that removable top section…going to look into that one. Thanks for the tips!

Also agree, you don't want your phone in full sun all day.

Interesting take on top tube bags. When selecting mine for my dirt road bike, I have steep sloping top tube, so knee clearance rules out saddle bag types and I prefer a small camera over phone. BUT you gave me some great ideas on my day ride winter bike. (90’s mountain bike mod ;) )IMO the higher $$ name brands have better zippers and fasteners. Well done!!

Happy it was helpful Rob! Good point on the "zipper/fasteners" front.

Zipper strength and quality is also a factor when considering those bags. I managed to break both sliders on my top tube bag under regular use and a new larger one I put into their place doesn't close the rails half the time with some of them starting to deform a bit.

Excellent point!! Thank you for sharing! I ended up going with a waist pack from Walmart which you will see in both seasons. LOVE that approach.

Great vid. Do your knees hit the bag you chose?

Believe it or not I went with a fanny pack from Walmart and you can see how I wrapped it around the handlebars in a video titled…last-minute preparation…in Season 1. I LOVED it! The current trip uploading is Season 2 on a mountain bike vs gravel bike. Oh wait - I use the fanny pack idea again but it’s a different one because they didn’t have that other style available. Thank you!! Happy to hear!

I like how it sounds like you like the bag and then you would say it was a no for me 🤭.

HA! Guess what? I ended up not using the one I showed I kept as you probably noticed in the "Last Minute..." video. The Walmart waistpack ROCKED!
