Alan Ford was born to play this role! And man, did this motherfucker pull it off, TO PERFECTION!! He should have been awarded the Oscar for best supporting actor, such was his altogether convincing and effortless brilliance at playing this role, as he became that character. This scene always leaves a weird mixed aftertaste. It's obviously full of signature, snappy, sarcastic dialogue. However, Brick Top is really an amazing villain. The way he expresses himself, how easily he's talking about, and doing those morbid things. He is a true unhinged psychopath. One of the few characters, if not the only one that had me laughing and feeling uneasy in the same scene. What a performance.
Don't forget about Rade Šerbedžija as Boris the Blade / Bullet Dodger haha. Hell Farina was solid as well. The cast was just top notch and hilarious as well.
This should be considered one of the greatest scenes in the history of acting. It's right up there with Chistopher Walken in True Romance or Richard Dreyfuss in Let it Ride. This is what most modern Hollywood films ignore and if it doesn't change it's why Hollywood will die...and it will deserve it's death.
In case you haven't seen it - John Goodman - The Gambler. Marky Mark is actually excellent in it. And John Goodman's speech about addiction and poor life choices is one of the best scenes I have ever seen in any film.
