i totally get you about being alone during a trip... it is a bit anxious for me too, and i keep feeling guilty for not being happy ou curious at every moment .. i think is normal for us that knowing a totally new place and being alone in this case cause a different sensation!! but youve done pretty well!!! i just loved the vlog

I was in London this past October and the feels from your video is giving very much nostalgia 🥹 I love London in Autumn, the niche uniqueness of their small stores and businesses. From the bustling to quiet areas around every corner, really makes you feel like there is something for everyone to enjoy.
I discovered earlier in my life that I preferred traveling by my self for that reason that you mentioned. You have more freedom to explore towns and cities and go where you want.

Speaking of which, thrilled you visited The Common Press, a brilliant queer space that’s fundraising to stay open. Which it should as it’s amazing. I went to london to be an au pair as soon as I turned 18, it was my first time away from home so it’s always had a exciting but lonely melancholic vibe for me. which it seems like you also got to experience. But it is my second home now and watching this makes me miss it :)

I grew up in London but, for reasons I won't go into, I haven't been able to visit in about 5 years, so it was really nice to get to see the city again through your eyes. I'm not surprised you didn't find it easy to make friends in the hostel, but I will say it's not like that all over the UK - London is generally known to be the least friendly city. In a smaller or Northern city - off the top of my head places like Brighton, Bath, Bristol, Manchester, Liverpool - people in the hostels likely would've been more friendly. I've had the best luck meeting people by staying in shared rooms, but it does mean you get no alone time which is difficult.

I’m planning my first ever trip to London and was wondering what hotel you were staying at in the beginning. What areas do you recommend staying at in London that are cute and chill but close to public transportation? What are you favorite bookstores in London?
The first hotel we stayed in was EasyHotel. It was pretty bare bones but also a semi affordable options if you're wanting to avoid hostels. The second, and significantly nicer hotel was Buckle Street Studios by Locke.
