Thanks to a few comments I was playing around with the ice machine some more and had an idea to try and it actually works! Rappid Ice harvest cycles now!
If you leave a cup or scoop inside the machine, it will end up buried at the bottom as the ice inside melts and the machine fills. Just a friendly FYI in case you didn't know
I just Watch your video Of the scotchman ice machine you working on? The white I Ice you see on that pipe above your compressor. That's a Sin 2 say that your unit is blowing free on.
you can sell that machine to a Chinese restaurant. They will be happy to buy it, That is pretty much how all there refrigeration equipment is running anyways (tape & Bunjy cords). Good fix

Check discharge line temp at compressor you need 130 degrees at the end of the freeze cycle for proper harvest, might not get it with that compressor, but that's what you look for on a normal one. Did you replace txv to a R134a txv? You did good on this.
Actually discharge is between 145 and 160 depending on the temp outside but it plummets as soon as it enters harvest. Luckily it has just enough heat to release the ice. No I didn't change the txv it's a cap tube system. Thanks for the comment I was hoping you would.
I have a question, sometimes, the scotsman ice machine stays in "harvest time blinks" and then turns off the machine, then a few seconds later starts the machine again. is this normal?

Hi I have a prodigy Scotsman C022SA, I cleaned it out yesterday but now it has stopped harvesting ice and flashed code 2? Any advice on how to fix it?

Lol actually the guy I got it from wanted first chance to buy it if I got it running again. But we are enjoying the ice this thing makes for now!

I know I'm late to this party but if you just thickened the bridge a tad it would have had the same effect. You are running your ice too thin.
DC is actually very easy to work with.. Inductors, Capacitors, Resistors, etc... But cool simple fix!
