As soon as the hearing aids were inserted the surprise on Trevor’s face and he started to whisper - I need hearing aids to hear him now! 😉 All joking aside, I’m delighted for you Trevor…..just wait until you hear all the birds singing outside. Yes, I’m talking about the feathered variety 🦅 🦢 lol. How wonderful!!
Hi Trevor, I've had hearing aids for about 20 years. What they forgot to tell me at first is that you have to wear them ALL THE TIME except when you're sleeping because your brain actually adjusts, changes. That's probably why they say 3 weeks in your literature. I thought I was so good managing without them and only putting them in when I was with people 😅. But no, it slowed down the adaptation. It's really strange at first because you hear your doors squeaking and birds sound incredibly loud - everything sounds loud. Your voice doesn't sound like you ( at least mine didn't) at first. That all seems to change as your brain changes and somehow puts the background noises back into the background. It will change your life- I hope you enjoy your new life with hearing aids.
That is fantastic, Trevor. I have a close friend who lives in Wales who is deaf. These seem really nice, especially that they are rechargeable batteries.

Do the MOD not provide medically necessary equipment to military injured as a result of service? Or is it like Canada and the hoops they make you jump through make it impossible so you give up ?

Really interesting Trevor ,im trying very hard to get my partner to go back to getting his hearing sorted. Like yourself his hearing aid broke and now communication can be very frustrating (@times)😊I am very aware that I talk much louder than I used to ,my children have told me. The way you lowered your voice ,makes me wonder if my friends think im shouting all the time. I will show my partner your vidio, you never know he may be tempted. 🤞

What a kind & amazing gift to have received Trevor, very considerate of Ele to have offered you this very practical & I’m sure very much appreciated gift. Your facial expression upon trying them in your ears for the first time spoke volumes (pardon the pun 😉), they are very visually discreet too - which is an added bonus. My late husband David, suffered with severe tinnitus & hearing damage, caused by working the big hammer in a forge when he was a teenager. Apparently the forge was owned by Warner Bros (yep - The Film Corp), who didn’t see fit to provide adequate safety protection to their employees, instead of giving them adequate foot protection, he said that if molten sparks got into their boots, the foremen would supply buckets of cold water for the relief of burned flesh!😳😬 Anyway I digress, when he was in early fifties, he finally deigned to getting fitted with a hearing aid, but it was the big bulky beige/pink variety & he pointed blank refused to wear it outside of the house.🙄 Hope that they really work well for you Trevor, look forward to hearing your updates & honest reviews in the next few weeks. xx 🫡🎖️👍🦻
You are lucky i note how when you put the hearing aids in your speech was quieter I did exactly that when i had earing aids fitted a year ago, people kept saying speak up your talking quieter made a change from being told not to shout 😁🦻
The great thing I find about wearing hearing aids is if people are getting on your nerves you can take the aids out and silence is golden its a great feeling😂😂

I could definitely do with those hearing aids, but being a pensioner, I don’t think I can afford them.
