Unfortunately Marinette is insanely competitive and will always put her ego above other's feelings (accept perhaps with Adrien) so if he tried to be solicitous - she wouldn't play along and enjoy the attention, she'd just blow him away by being automatically awesome at everything and make him feel inadequate and then act like she did something clever by being yet again a complete jerk to someone she claims is her "friend" but doesn't treat them like that at all. I may even be being generous presuming she even thinks Cat Noir is anything other than "A guy she works with" - at least to herself or Tikki. She's a bit to Tsundare without the nice side for her own good / (or should that be Yondare without the murder)

I think we saw in an episode that his vision is still pretty dark. He can see shapes, but the colours aren't very distinguishable so even with his night vision the blush might be difficult to see.
