I think you vastly overestimate influencers here. Influencers or professional good-for-nothings, as I like to call them (most of them), are a product of society, not vice versa. It's true, to some extend they influence the customer market, but their reflection of delusional and entraptured behaviour of society often leads to widespread rejection.
The fact that "influencer" is now a word makes me want to raise my kid off grid on a remote island.

Now she’s able to look at a photo and say “look, she’s arching her back or tilting her hips etc”. Giving your kids a finely tuned bullshit detector is as important for the online world as well as face to face interactions

We own a small marketing company. My wife was invited to an influencer awards party, where she was to be given some kind of recognition. It was an immediate no. She was a journalist, and we work hard to provide recognition to OTHER people that DONT get the recognition they need to help others in the community, or that they deserve for helping others. She refuses to call her self an influencer, because they are about one thing... themself. Many of the interviews she does never shows her face.
