1. Happy New Year! I hope you have an incredible year!
2. Closed captions aren’t working on this video 😢, I’m trying to figure out why but it won’t let me fix it so far.
3. I stepped on my safety glasses so I’m sorry I didn’t prioritize safety this week 😬. Time to buy more!
Even @ 64 years old I wish I had a Craig. Well done, you guys.
Everyone needs a Craig! Haha thank you!
Craig is such a good mentor and teacher, great job both all of you.
He sure is! Thank you!
Great video Biata Craig and your husband Biata
My husband used to work with Craig briefly years ago. We watch your videos and he loves seeing Craig content 😁 Great job Biata
Oh really?! That’s awesome haha! Thank you so much for watching!
Having carried many a sheet of plywood and sheet rock I am very impressed by how easily you handled those sheets as you were sheeting the walls. You rock.
Thank you so much Jeffery! It’s hard sometimes because I’m not very tall so my arm span isn’t very big but all that chainsawing has built up my muscles haha!
@@SimpleLivingwithBiata sometimes it’s tough no matter how tall you are. Great job.
He has class and taste, just look at his wind breaker. GO PACK GOOOO.
Hahaha Go Pack Go!
I didn't see these videos, so to see you do roofing and to be so timid on the shed is funny
Biata you are the one and only, doing fantastic job.
Great job Biata and Craig
Thank you so much!
Looking good! What a blessing having Craig to help you. Stay warm 🥶
I fully agree! Thank you!
Good job girl good luck with everything you guys doing
Thank you Craig you’re a good man
You and Craig work very well together .between you two I think you all can accomplish anything
Thank you so much! I think so too!
Happy New Year. Love Craig's jacket. GO PACK GO!!!!!
Hahaha he loves the packers!
Good job beautiful lady! People can do and achieve a lot more than they realize.
Thank you so much! You’re exactly right!
Thanks as you see I have gone back and watched videos 😊
Thanks so much!
This isn’t a stepdad. This is a dad. ❤ What a very patient and loving mentor.
❤️ so true
Love the fact your singing in the car as you arrive to site. A good positive mental attitude. Great to see you survived the snowfall your end. We read and saw the conditions in USA and I suspect Canada was nearly the same?
Thank you! I love singing with my husband! We got hit with a pretty intense storm! 5 days of non stop work for our ploughs and line workers! The line workers are still getting power back to some homes!
Cra8g is awesome!!! That shed is livable,, couple bunkers and a stove and ur good ta go !!!!!!!
Haha so true! Thank you!
Great video! Very interesting and fun to watch. You’re fast becoming one of my favorite TH-camrs. -Puro Padre
Thank you so much! That was such a kind comment to read!
Craig got this moving - I wish I have him in my life...
Everyone needs a Craig!
your Dad (step dad) is super cool and very handy you are luck to have that support and love. I am keen on seeing the next stage of the house. Happy new year
Thank you so much! And he sure is amazing! Happy new year!
Nice to have some help that knows what they are doing. You made good progress.
Thank you so much! I agree!
Well done biata very great video thank you so much beautiful biata Lady 🙏😘♥️🌹😍happy New year sweet biata Lady ♥️🌹🙏😊
Thank you so much Hans! Happy New year!
Very nice looking shed Biata. You made me laugh when you were going up on the scaffolding and you said but I have boobs. You brought a smile to my face in my sadness. My mom passed away the 26th so it has been sad but you made me laugh and smile. Thank you Biata. Happy new year
I’m so sorry for your loss and grief. I’m glad I was able to make you laugh in those little moments in between the grief.
I bet if you fell into the snow you would make snow angels! Happy New years keep up the great videos.
Haha we sure would! Thanks for watching!
Man, Craig is really skilled at the ins and outs of this. I remember when we met he, obviously, has a background in woodworking but does he also have a background in construction? Amazing work Biata, this is a blast watching it come together!!
Hey Daniel! He’s a jack of all trades! He was mainly a machine operator but also drove dump trucks! He build his cottage from start to finish mainly alone. Did an extension on his home. Has done handy man stuff his whole life. Made me learn how to change a tire before I was allowed to drive lol
Thank you for sharing. Great team, personalities
Thank you John!
Looks great, it will make life so much easier on the build
It sure will! Thank you so much!
That dad of yours is not a bad man to have around 👍, even though a dad joke may be a bad joke. You do great!
Hahaha good old dad jokes! Thanks so much!
wow looks awesome Biata love it you guys make a awesome team can’t wait next video
Thanks so much Tommy!
Your digger driver is quite multi talented eh, and you two certainly work well together. I struggled a bit with this video because for some reason I couldn't get the subtitles which I need due to being deaf. However last weeks video where you did the review of progress was the most heart warming and delightful video I have ever watched on You Tube. Thank you so much for what you share with us. Stay safe and enjoy 2023.
I’m so sorry! That’s the second comment saying the subtitles were there and I’m not sure what went wrong! I’m going to look into it, thanks so much for letting me know! I don’t think I uploaded it differently so it’s bizarre!
Thank you so much for still watching!
My husband is officially on it to put subtitles in! We just have to kind of do it manually. I guess sometimes TH-cam doesn’t automatically translate.
Just wait you will soon be working on your house and your dream will come true keep up the good work
Thank you so much Chris! I’m so excited to work on the house!
Looking good Biata … one step at a time 🇺🇸🔨🪚👊🏼🇺🇸
Thank you so much! Thanks for watching!
This is a good episode, your really kicking a$$!
Thank you so much! Happy New Years!
You have an awesome stepdad. You two work so well together and as always it was nice to see your husband helping out with what he could do. Shed is looking awesome as well. Happy New Year Biata to you and all of your family. Looking forward to seeing what happens in the new year.
Thanks so much! He truly is awesome and we have a blast working together!
Good work & video! If your shed is like mine, you will sometimes get condensation drips from the exposed roof-screw tips that stick down through the bottom of the nailing strips. Not a problem for a woodshed, but not so happy for steel tools etc. under the drips...
I was noticing that with big ice and snow melts. It’s making me reconsider the roof!
A very good job you are a hard worker I am very cute so keep up the good work and I will keep watching it God bless
Thank you!
Happy New Year 🥳🎉 Biata and family
Happy new year Kevin!
ur step dad is awesome simply cuz hes a green bay packers fan! i live in wisconsin

He sure is! Thank you!
I just finnished all your videos 😁 I bought last year land as well, but just 8600m², everything is so expensive here in Czech.. Good luck with your building..
Good luck with your land! That’s still enough land to make your own! Incredible!
Looks good!!
Looking cool! Happy New Year Guys from Bonnie Scotland 🎉
Happy New year! Thanks for watching!
Happy New Year! I hope you too have an incredible year and successful completion of your house.

Thank you!
Well done Biata, I'd like to wish you and your family a very happy and safe New year. I I'm looking forward to seeing your progress in 2023
Thank you so much John’ happy new year and I’m excited to share all that we do!
Hello Biata, Well done and happy New Year
Thank your happy new year!
Biana
Again I am just so proud of you. Yes you have Craig, who is a fantastic mentor.
Now for the unpleasant part of my message.
Where is your PPE??
You should be wearing safety glasses at all times. You only have two eyes. What will happen if the nail gun misfires and you get a piece of metal in your eye. Especially when working by yourself.
Please also think about hearing protection. You might not notice the loss of hearing for a number of years, then it will be too late.
Happy New year to you and your family.
John (Adelaide South Australia)☀️🌞👍
Thank you John! I appreciate it!
I ended up stepping on my glasses but I’m going to go out and buy some more! It should’ve been more a priority!
A small extention on each side of your shed might just be a good place for wood sheds. Just a thought.
I’d love to be able to do that! We’d require a permit though for our area, so we might have to build a second shed!
Super-Dad! Love the friendship you two have. Shed looks good. Happy New Year! Thanks for sharing
Awh thank you so much, I appreciate it!
Your a very capable young lady
Thank you! That’s so kind!
happy new year fron Brasil . good job.
Thank you so much! Happy new year!
Happy New Year to you and your family x
Happy New Year!
If you have extra wings around you could give them to Greg to complete his angel ensemble ...Good family makes a better life
It sure does, thank you Ron!
Happy New Year Biata & family, and yes anytime someone says to walk on a single board between holding points for the 1st time is sketchy. But using 2 boards is better and adds to the comfort level and you see how safe it is. With Craig`s assistance and guidance you are becoming a talented builder, beyond what most of us watching you are capable of. Thanks
Thank you so much! It was super scary the first few times but I’m
Glad I got more used to it haha!
Nice job. Happy new year.
Thank you so much! Happy new year!
Good morning Biata. Great video and Happy New Year. The shed is looking great. See you next week.
Thank you so much! See you next week!
Great job Happy New Year
Thank you and happy Nee Year!
Hi from SCOTLAND
Hello! Thanks for watching!
Fantastic work
Thank you!
Good job, it's looking nice. My dad did the same thing to me many times on projects....those fake injuries that I somehow inflicted. Dads...it's what they do.
Hahaha it’s so true! It’s like a right of passage
@@SimpleLivingwithBiata Think up a good way to return the favor.
Happy New Year to you and your family Biata.Nice job on that 16 ' shed.Looks strong 🌞👀
Thanks so much Tom!
Craig is the man !! He knows just about everything ☺️ I like that roofing material, what is it called ? I don't know if they sell it in Mississippi USA anywhere ! Thanks Craig 🤠
It’s a brand called Ondura and we bought it at Home Depot! It’s apparently the material of shingles. It also held up to the 3’ of snow we just got in the crazy storm!
And yes, Craig is awesome haha! Thank you!
nice👌🏻👌🌼
You did a great job. HAPPY NEW YEAR
Thank you! Happy New Year!
Happy New Year!
I totally related to you with the home made scaffolding. I had to climb up on it to paint the cedar shingles on our house. I was terrified. Lol.
Hahaha Craig is sure creative eh? I’m glad you were okay 😂
I wouldn't say "don't trust the level". The level is perfectly good for telling you if it's level, but it can't tell you if it's square.
Yes yes yes! You’re so right! I should’ve clarified!
🎉❤
No roof sheathing makes this a do-over in less than 10 years.
Boa tarde do brasil 😉👍✌
Hello! Thanks for watching!
The Lumberjack
Jackyl
Composition: Jesse James Dupree
Ha haaa
I was born in the backwoods
Of a two-bit nowhere town
Fathered up some rock 'n' roll (baby)
So your mothers could boogie down
I ain't whistling dixie
No I'm a rebel with a groove
All around the world the go 'round and 'round
When they dig on my new stainless steel sound hell, yeah
I'm said a lumberjack oh, baby
And I'm gonna cut you down to size
I'm a lumberjack baby
And you're the one you're the one that gets my prize
When you hear my motor running
You know I surely be coppin' a rise
Oh! So I'm gonna crank it up down the alley and jack it
Woo
I'm a lumberjack, oh, baby
I'm a lumberjack now baby
I'm a lumberjack, oh, baby
Ohh, I'm a lumberjack now, baby
But I ain't jacked my lumber, baby
Since my chainsaw you
Ha haaa
Whether you like it or whether you don't woo
That's the way we like it
Oh yeah....second post. Its a little late now, but you should never put a window in a storage shed. Gives a place for the bad guys to see what you have and an easy access to it.
It’s true haha. I wanted a little natural light for the work station I’m building! Thankful for security cameras at least!
Happy New Year's Biata. I showed a friend of mine your video and he's been building homes for years and he said oh great idea, he said using the clamp to hold the other end of the board he said he learned something new today. Quick question where does the name Biata come from? I tried Google's I found Blessed but it doesn't say the origin.
Haha that’s amazing! It’s fun the little tricks you learn when you’re doing it alone! My husband uses a clamp for everything with cabinetry so I just decided to try it for OSB! Thanks for showing your friend my videos and happy new year!
Since I named her, I can answer that question. The origin of her name is Latin. Original spelling is Beata. Means joyous and happy. I understand the name is more common in Oland. 😊
@@chantellej9282 thank you 😃 you have an amazing daughter.
Thank you! I agree. 😊
Going great guns. I'm curious about the roofing material for your shed, could you tell us more about it?
Thanks for asking! It’s super interesting! It’s the same material as shingles but comes in sheets! It was very interesting to work with but I was just a bit too short to reach the other side of the panel when installing
👍🐝🌞
Is there a reason you use OSB? I see it used everywhere and it’s terrible stuff. Breaks easy, absorbs water (even if they say it doesn’t), and doesn’t hold nails well. (I’m a plywood fan of course). Nails pull chunks of OSB right out of the sheets under high winds. For a shed it’s fine. Easy to rebuild 🙂 not trying to be a downer. You put it on the walls in the right direction. Good job!
I built my house using 3/4” plywood on everything. Walls and roof. 3000 square foot home. Using OSB would have saved me $1000. Not worth it.
Wow! Good to know! It would’ve cost us $500 more for 10 sheets for the shed of 3/4 ply or $270 for 1/2 ply!
I’m thinking of going with zip systems for the house though
@@SimpleLivingwithBiata I get it. The prices were not crazy like they are now. Personally I just don’t like things made out of chips. It’s all the resins. Like building with plastic. I don’t know anything about the Zip System. But I’m sure I could pick it apart. 😁
I don’t want to discourage you. Keep plugging away.
What material is the roofing?
Good morning or good afternoon how you doing you need somebody to come out there and help you so that way you can't do it by yourself have your friends come out and help you you know what about something falls down on you and you get hurt and and you got to go to the hospital and you can't get to the hospital you've got to learn to be a little bit more careful have somebody come out there and help you get a bunch of people help you don't be afraid
Thanks so much Wade! I definitely plan on this for the home build and framing the big walls!
🇳🇴👍👍
What kind of roof panels were those?
They’re by Ondura sold at Home Depot! They’re the same material as shingles!
EYE PROTECTION
😬 I’m sorry! I broke my glasses, I’ll get new ones asap!
Eye protection please
Sorry 😬! I wear it all the time now!
Hola Biata!!! no se que paso, pero no habilitaste el poder traducir automático
It’s so weird! I don’t know what happened! I’m trying to fix it but there doesn’t seem to be a solution! I’m asking around and hoping to get it fixed!
@@SimpleLivingwithBiata I always follow you, I don't write to you because of language problems, I use Google translate, but it's not always accurate, I send you a very big greeting and HAPPY NEW YEAR
Happy new year! Thank you so much! I can always see an auto translate in the comments section by google so feel free to write me whenever!
My husband is officially on it to put subtitles in! We just have to do it manually. I guess sometimes TH-cam doesn’t automatically translate.
I’ll update you when the video is fixed!
Can you please wear safety glasses 🫶🏻thank you!!
I stepped on mine but I have to go buy some more! Sorry about that haha!
are you going to insulate?
I don’t think so, maybe down the line if we use it a lot in the winter for building things!
Hola Biata!!!!
Después que pasaron unos días logre verlo con la traducción automática, como siempre me gusto mucho tu video, un saludo muy grande desde Montevideo Uruguay
Oh great! TH-cam must have fixed it! Thank you!
Wish you would wear safety glasses
I stepped on mine but it’s time to go prioritize safety and buy some more haha!
It's kind of dorky when you run out of nails. Kind of cool too when you do it. Love you sweetheart keep up the great videos.
Haha thank you so much!
