@@Clara-fs7pu i don’t think matt thought he was better then everyone else. he just didn’t like the fact that supernatural business ruined his live & his friends lives. vicky , caroline , bonnie , elena , jeremy , & tyler had somewhat normal lives before supernatural creatures came & fucked it up for them. matt never had problems w/ the vampires feeding on humans but more w/ the fact of them killing & targeting innocent people. tyler even says it in the video “they mess w/ people for not reason” .
@Diamond I don’t think they need to ease his entire memory & that whole care tell me everything was literally happened at least about season 2 & even if his memory was ease more the likely something supernatural would happen still bring it back up.

Matt fought for his life several times and managed to stay human and became the sheriff through everything he's a survivor and tyler despite triggering his curse fought the darkness inside him, and managed to live his life. Plus ,the two of them along with Jeremy basically drove all the Vampire out of mystic falls in season7

Tyler just needed some space. It's not like he didn't care about Caroline anymore. And he literally forgave Caroline and saved her from Nadia, even though she slept with his mom's murderer, he was a great bf to both liv and Caroline, and he is really good friends with both Matt and Elena, and he too is one of the least psychotic and bloodthirsty males.
