Wow! I can't believe how fast everyone is growing and fast time flies by. I remember when I was like 18 years old and I was watching your vlogs. It felt like just yesterday all of them were still in high school. I'm only 2 years older than Brennan. I already started school in SW Virginia Universities start around August 23rd, but the public high schools in our county start super earlier like August 9th early. I'm starting my senior of college. I hope Ryan, Katie, and Brennan all have a great school year.

I'm finishing Sophmore year in college. But I'm not finished though I'm going to get my Bachlors degree. So I have been doing classes at my college that will transfer over when I'm done with my associates. So this way I'll only be in school for my Bachlors from anywhere between 6months to a year. So in total I've got 2 more years at my current college. Only because I started out as part-time and now doing full time to try and get done faster. My school started last week. It's already like full on intense the first week of school. Best wishes to all the Donnellys you all got this. Prayers may you have not only a great year ahead but healthy to. Some schools here in AZ started July 18. They are year-round so they get 2 weeks off in the Fall, at Christmas and for Spring break. My daughter goes to a private school and they started Aug. 7th. I can’t believe Ryan is a Senior. It seems like yesterday he was running around with the boys. My daughter has 2 years left and she’s my youngest.
So, at this point in their education, all we heard from Brennan and Katie was what schools they were applying to and where they hoped to go. I don't think I missed any recent episodes, but we haven't heard anything from Ryan about whether his future plans include college. If he's decided on a different type of career not involving college or not involving college now, more power to him. College isn't for everyone, and I think he's better off with a solid trade that will start his future off debt-free!! He can always go to college later if he wants. I’m commenting for a 2nd time because I am literally tearing up over here with the music that was edited in to Ryan leaving for school and Katie leaving for college. I’ve been watching since the very beginning. I’ve been here for YEARS! I’ve watched all the kids grow up as well as growing up myself.
We live in broward count Florida and the kids here started on the 21st of this month and Miami Dade county started on the 17th some private schools as well. Depending on what county you live in.
I worked in kindergarten for a few years and every year most of the kids, if not all, at some point ( even months after the first day) believed that their parents left them there for good. That is why some countries in Europe advise parents to take kids to kindergarten/pre-school from the age of 4 because they can comprehend better at that age that "hey, the parents will be back."
I have a key from my husband and I's first apartment together (custom key), and my husband does too (custom key). I have a custom key to our house. I never got a custom key for our key to our last apartment. What made me happy today is spending the day yesterday and today with my husband, and giving him some school supplies that he needs for his corrections academy.

I used to be friends with a teacher at a Christian school here in Ohio and she would start a few weeks earlier before the actual school year began. The teachers do that to start preparing things for the arrival of the students. Maybe it's possible that is the case for your friend whose daughter is a teacher in Georgia, and that's why she started a few weeks before Ryan's first day of senior year.
I'm a college student so I started school on August 17st but I had school by the 15th before I actually started scool if that make any sense I'm washing every Donley a great school year that includes you juil even though you are not goin to school but training is learning something new so best of luck to everyone 😊
where I live in middle Tennessee my nieces and nephew start August 1 4 7 because they live in different counties and where some of my family lives in western PA some of my cousins who still go to school start the end of August
It's hard to believe that Ryan is a Senior!!! And Katie left for college so soon😢. She needs to teach me to do sign language since I'm deaf I have cochlear implants in both of my ears now the hearing aids no longer works for me.
Growing up, we started school the day after Labor Day and only had 3 snow days built in. Fairfax County in NOVA started August 21st and has 14 built in snow days even though we don’t get snow anymore. The kids NEVER go to school. I am telling you they make up holidays just to have no school.
