I love how relaxed you are about this trip, Sam. It doesn't really feel like you are doing this trip in an attempt to attract as many new subscribers as you can. It seems to me like you're doing an around the world trip and you are just taking your viewers along for the ride. It might not yield hundreds of thousands of views per video, but the quality is spot on. Keep it up, and most of all; enjoy this once in a lifetime experience together with Viki and enjoy the hell out of it!
Sam is in a different league to James, JWW is all about life style like most of the others, dead boring.... it's a shame because James could have been a lot better, he had all the opportunities and has simple blown it, i.e. no lateral thinking or understanding of marketing and the 4th industrial revolution. James is just about James having a good time... hopefully his wrap business will provide him with some good life lessons. Sam on the other hand is going places... and manufactures need to wake up... and smell the coffee.. :-)
The XK doesn't have factory modifications. They're aftermarket, yet period correct and, as you said, work so well. Its probably been part of a few competitions and rallies, so the owner must drive it hard! I've been fortunate enough to spend a lot of time with old Jaguars in my life (Most recently an XK120 DHC), so this was kind of a fanboy moment for me 😅
I just started watching this guy, and he is the most down-to-earth car TH-camr I've seen besides Doug. You can tell he's not trying to impress anybody. Same with Doug, as corny as he is, which we all love.
Sam i just love your videos, how you film and the entretaining way you have to tell stories. I strongly believe you deserve way more subscribers. Truly one of the best Cars blogger (if not the best) Greetings from Argentina
Best coffee in Cape town is TRUTH coffee Roasting/Cafe , David Donde a motoring Journo owns/runs it, No doubt he can arrange a Ferrari club run , perhaps out to Franshoek Motor Museum , great range of classics & Le mans racers, a Must see. 😎 The edits on this experiences had gotten even better. Great stuff hope you guys are enjoying the experience looks amazing and it's still work. Congratulations. Great vlogs man.
Wow awesome video! loved the content and what Cape Town has to offer! The food, the native people and the amazing scenery! The Aston was the icing on the cake! Keep up the good work!
I must get back to Cape Town for some of that food, did you try the boerewors and biltong as you like meat.... nothing tastes like it anywhere in the world, literally.. it's the best.
Two of my favs in Cape Town... ... did you at all meet up with Shmee at some point?! :D -- Behind the Glass? Geneva Carshow, DriveTheWorld so far re-cap talkie talk?
Awesome vid as usual, drive the world is a great idea and I'm glad you're doing it so we can live vicariously through you, thank you! I'm not digging the music so much but what do I know...
Yeas! Excited for the new F1 season! Hopefully AM RB Racing will get that Honda engine singing some Dutch anthems this year! And hopefully F1 returns to The Netherlands/Zandvoort in the near future!
Hi, welcome back to Cape Town 🤗 hope you enjoyimg your stay, I happen to be at V&A Waterfront yesterday but left early... Would have been awesome to actually meet you 🔥 and that Aston😍🤤
danI43541 Cape Town isn’t as dangerous as people say it is, all I’d say is that if you’re carrying a backpack make sure it is either in the front of you or has a lock on it or remove any valuables. And don’t leave them in view in the car. But Cape Town is a beautiful and wonderful place, that everyone should visit and explore.
Re: the Jag XK120 'Racing' car - think it is setup as a Rally car - see the spotlights on the front - the roof rack would be to carry spare wheels - maybe setup for long distance rallies, such as the famous Safari Rally ?
Aye aye aye! Get back here!! Sit down and tell us your thoughts on Geneva this year. What you liked what you didn't. Maybe podcast with Tony. This year was a pleasant and unlikely surprise. Quality video as usual. Ta. ✌️
Sam, can I ask what was Cape Town/ SA in general like? My fiancee was born there and wants to go back but her parents are reluctant, did it feel safe, did you encounter any hairy/uncomfortable moments? It looks stunning!
@@maddog4390 pulled over is not entirely correct, was sitting in the car on the side of the road to enjoy the view and they pulled up next to the window and asked if they could search the car
I have no idea Sam how your excellent videos with great music and editing don't 200k views a go. When I see the trash that some other car vloggers put out which are inane shite I despair. Well done to you though and keep it going. You deserve much higher numbers and more income.
Jesus imagine the cost of travelling like this fancy restaurants and hotels at every stop its like a business class world tour rather than an auto channel
I wish I could say things like “this has got to be one of the craziest McLaren Sennas I’ve ever seen”, I’d freak out if I just saw any McLaren Senna lol.
Not my favourite Aston. But still a nice car. I would love the new Vantage in the Zaffre Blue or Divine Red with Copper Tan Metallic interior. When the #DriveTheWorld is over you should change the Carrera T for a Vantage. That XK150 looks great though. We actually have a ostrich farm not far from where i live in Norway. So we actually eat ostrich here to. Not much, but some. Nice video though. Keep up the great work.

@Oli Gilpin correct! Also, it's it's nice to see the channel growing organically.
I think I'm going to be sick.
GTIracerr well said!
If you ever see a 2.7 RS and don't film it I'm leaving you.
It's quite amazing that this is all self written, directed, edited, published.

Mr jww and yourself make the best videos on TH-cam ( of the car vloggers British or Americans).
Agree 🙌

That mountain and clouds show how the rear wing works on a car.. awsome.
Loved the vlog.
Your drive the world is amazing so far. Can't wait to see what's in store
I used to live in Cape Town and it’s so weird to see you drive past places I know. Keep up the awesome content❤️
The cars and your videography has always been amazing but the background score this video was splendid. . .
Great music choice for the vid Sam. Just worked so well with the Aston.
03:05 my friends ND I in the back 😊 so nice meeting Sam 👍
I recommend you visit Cape Point. Absolutely stunning, good for the travel vlog
I just collected my friend’s Toyota Prius, it was a good day.
Sam's zero money = cruising in an aston martin. Me zero money = sandals all day long.

Welcome back to Cape Town... BTW that Targa at Crossley and Webb is called the Dutchman. Think of it as South Africas version of Singer.
I am thoroughly enjoying your adventures. I agree about having a distinctive color on a distinctive car. Thank you!

Yep Geneva recap talk needs to happen, although I am not sure how much time he's had to look into this year's show.
That's what the talk with Shmee would be for! He's seen it all, he can update him on everything.
Yes he met Shmee at a restaurant in Cape Town...don't know if they filmed together in Cape Town...
Nice, sure hope so though. I was in Cape Town in January. Lovely place!

Hi Sam! Great video and welcome to Cape Town, today's weather will be great for the Franschhoek Pass. Check it out if you can!
Its a Jaguar XK120 rally car from Hamburg in Germany
I took a guess in my head and I was correct 👏🏾
