I went out today for a couple hours and got lucky with an obsolete token, a key, two buried hot wheels, many older memorials and a 1942 S Washington quarter! The "musket ball" I think is a more modern shot-gun slug. Nice finds as usual, happy hunting!
You never know, fits the bill when comparing it to ones I've dug in the past. Size, weight, white patina.
@@digthatbeep You can tell. Are there little vertical lines on it somewhere? If there are lines on it anywhere it's a modern slug. It could be a musket ball and for your sake, I hope it is.

Those white flowers should hold a lot of old coins, up here in Canada if we detect in dandelions/flowers we always get at least a silver coin or a bunch of old cents. Always follow the flowers, it’s guaranteed old ground!

My first barber Quarter i found in my yard was 1908 so i like that one a lot.
Also seeing that silver coin in the same hole as aluminum is a good teaching moment 👍🏻

I’m fairly new to detecting compared to most. Been detecting right at 4 years now & didn’t find my 1st Barber quarter until last year. Did find a Seated quarter my 2nd year of detecting, but have still yet to find a Seated dime.
I’m still trying to find a SLQ.

Excellent hunt guys,hey guys whats your thoughts on the new Manticore so far compaired to my Equinox 800,it seems with the anniversary pricing on the manticore it may be worth looking in to but i have been very happy with the Equinox 800 as well..Keep up the great hunts ..
