DIY | MACRAME CROP TOP TUTORIAL | summer fringed top | macrame pattern | 2 mm cotton cord

Make yourself a summer crop top with a cotton cord! DIY project with one type of macrame knot: SQUARE KNOT. I show you how to make this beautiful macrame top step by step in size M/L, all measurements are bellow. It will take few hours to make it, but the final result rewards the effort!

Prepare:
2 mm cotton cord 180 m (197 yd) braided or twisted
YarnArt Macrame Cotton creatoriq.cc/3...
(I used braided cotton cord Lama, Greek product)
mannequin (dress form) creatoriq.cc/4...

Cut the cords:
24 x 2.5 m (2.73 yd)
80 x 1.5 m (1.64 yd)
the measurements above include 20 cm (8 inch) fringes, you can cut fringe shorter, if you wish, but use the same measurements!
My size is M/L (UK 10/12 US 8/10 EU 38/40)
my bust circumference 91 cm (36 inch)
I am 172 cm (67.7 inch) tall
Measurements of the crop top without fringes:
front with strap: 33 cm (13”)
center front: 20 cm (7.87”)
sides: 17 cm (6.69”)
center back: 18 cm (7.09”)
back with strap: 30 cm (15”)
straps 33 cm (13”)

I did everything almost the same way but with 3 mm - the size came out very big like L or even XL - it came out less rows but still very nice and pretty

Can you indicate how to make larger sizes? How can I adapt the project for different body measures?

I would use as reference top in the larger size to see how many cords and where to add them. Mannequin in the right size would be very helpful. You need to know the measurements of the size you want to make. In the video and in the description I share detailed measurements of my top. You might need to cut longer cords if you want to leave longer fringes.
