I love your reaction coach Lauren! Just like other female vocal coaches the first girlie stuff they noticed is "THE HAIR" hahaha.. Anyway, this was done on a lockdown. She recorded a raw vocal sample and sent it to her arranger by email. They talked and agreed to the BPM (Beats per minute),when it was done and they agreed on the key changes. When it came back (they arrangement), She recorded it live as she usually has only one take like most of her covers. GREAT OBSERVATION ON HER DYNAMICS. tHE DRUM PART, was overdubbed by Mike Shapiro and it created a suspenseful movement towards the long belt ending.

Wow that was really mind blowing! Very creative fusion of different techniques while soaring high into the stratosphere! I enjoyed while learning so much from your analysis. Filipino artists and Pinoys in general are not used to enroling in music or singing classes in universities and only a handful offer conservatory of music courses. We just love music and singing, yes, almost every household has a karaoke or - USB Mic where we just go to youtube in our cp then just belt out. Pinoys also, because of the need, join as many singing competition, a considerable number, specially in provinces, use their talent in singing as a means of living. The whole family also support members who just would like to sing. So there is the gift, then the environment (karaoke, usb mic, singing contests) and the support of family and community- formula why Pinoys are inherently dedicated artists. Raising the starting point reduces the sound space and makes it difficult to make a sound (strong, high). The problem is that each song starts to come and go. She is obsessed with the high she can't make. So the balance between high and low is broken. The most peculiar thing about katrina velarde is that there is no "resonance" even though the microphone has an echo-
