Hi Ru! I’ve been watching your videos since your first 2024 line up. I noticed you split your daily pages down the middle when you were in the A5 common planner. Maybe you should consider a horizontal N1 full year? This way you can plan in the weeklies and have enough pages in the back that will be easier to fill than the wider A5 ones.
Hi Mariam! Thank you for watching 😊 I've thought about that as well, and it's one of the options I'm considering. The one thing I'm realising now with the Take a Note A5 is how much more comfortable it is writing in a planner that has less pages. So maybe A5 compact might be an option, using half a page a day. So many options 😅
@@ruonpaperhaving less pages is definitely a lot comfortable, especially for a lefty like me... that's one of the reasons I ditched the hobo cousin and just went with a hobo plain notebook. ❤
It is! I'm usually not a bad sleeper at all and I'm just now realising how I've always taken that for granted... Last week was a little better, thank you! 💛
I love Platinum Carbon Black in a Japanese fine nib in my planner. Great choice! I’ve been using a gel pen in my Hobonichi lately and this video reminded me that I prefer that fountain pen/ ink combo. Hope you enjoy it just as much!
Thank you! I used to almost exclusively use gel pen in my Weeks, but I enjoy writing with fountain pen so much more. Should've switched much earlier! 😊
I love how neat and tidy your spreads turn out. No matter how hard I try, I can't seem to escape my messy chicken scratch :) Also, I love PCB! It always feels like a 'boring' ink, but it's so utilitarian that I use it daily. Like you, I was tired of using the individual markers. Unfortunately, I had issues using PCB in my Pilot Metro... and my vanishing point 😥. I'm not sure if it was a user error (maybe I wasn't cleaning my VP properly?), but I was struggling with too many hard starts despite using the pen daily. Now, I am thinking about permanently pairing it with a Platinum 3776 with a soft-fine nib (so I can also use it for sketching). Since it's a daily driver, I'd really like to pair it with a special pen. :) (ok, maybe I'm also looking for an excuse to try Platinum!)
Thank you! I think they mostly look neat from a bit of a distance and when there's lots of writing to make the pages look full. When I look at my writing in detail, it's not really neat at all 🙈 Sad to hear the PCB gave you issues in 2 pens! I'm curious to see how it'll work in my Pilot Metro after a while. For now it seems to flow well, using it daily as well. I was planning on cleaning it every time I write it dry. Pairing it with a Platinum 3776 soft fine DOES sound like a really tempting idea though! Hopefully that'll give you less issues.
i used to use the same pilot metropolitan in my hobonichi weeks! mine was a M nib though so i swapped to a sailor compass bc i wanted a finer nib. so nice to catch up with you :)
I feel the same way about leaving my cat alone at home too! I feel much better when, either my husband or I, is home with him. Only to have him nap and ignore us the entire time 😂.

It’s always fun exploring a new city. I enjoy finding the museums.
It is! Ooh, that's a nice way to explore the city as well 😊
Insomnia is the absolute WORST. 😭 Here’s hoping this week’s sleep is better!

Thanks Bucky! I loooove the nibs on the Sailor Compass, especially on Tomoe River paper. Sounds like a nice one for the Hobonichi Weeks :)

Glad someone feels that way too! And yeah, my cats do that as well 🤣

@@ruonpaper Oei, dat is dan een lastige beslissing inderdaad! Bedankt voor de specificatie van de tape en de inkt. Ga er zeker eens naar kijken :)
