Only up Bihar and Central States are in bad condition . Come to haryana Punjab Himachal utrakhand . We are in much better condition than these states . Hp has more than 85 percent literacy rate as per estimate done by various agencies similarly other states are also doing great . As a keralite, we already have well awareness of these information.
I am also a Keralite lived in four different states and visited almost whole India. Except in HDI, where do we stand in other citical development parameters like employment, innovation, industrial development and food self sufficency? A state with just 3.4 crore population and 65 lakhs people are residing outside Kerala for their livelihood and sending their hard earned money back home. So unlike other self-sufficient south Indian states we cannot boast we are developed.

@@kailashnathbansal7116 The major reason you see any hostility if at all, is because North Indians who have lived in South India most of their professional lives , don't understand or speak a lick of the local language and say things like "Learn hindi, its the national language" and prefer people around them to conform to their needs and not adjust to where they live.
Thankfully not everyone is like this. and those who embrace the local culture get treated with love and respect.

Although people from south are more rooted to their culture and religion they tend not to bring religion outside of their houses which makes people live as Indian citizens. Sadly religions and castes are one of the prime reasons for people not being uniformly developed.

This is a fact that states of South India had not faced invasions like that of states of North India. People grow socially, intellectually, culturally only in peaceful environment. As such educated public in South India exercised their right to vote rationally after independence.
Invaders came mostly from north or north west frontiers of India. They went mostly upto Delhi or went a little ahead for looting & returned. As such People of the north India had to keep themselves always ready for defense. Only during Maharaja Ranjit Singh's rule the trend of invasions from north India was not only stopped but trend was reversed. People of Panjab used to invade Afghanistan, Iran & other central Asian nations.
The roots of Sanatan Dharma is in South India because of peaceful environment prevailed there. Four Vedas & six Shastras written in Sanskrit language are basics learnings of Sanatan Dharma. Sankrant language is considered as mother of all Indian languages like Marathi, Panjabi, Bangla Asamia & many others.
Intellectuals are divided about word Hindu. Some are of the opinion that Hindu word ( not good word in invaders' language )was used by invaders for inhabitants of this area. Just like our Panjabis while staying in Arab nations together call the rich Shekh as Badhu ( not a good word in Arabic language ). Some intellectuals are of the opinion that people living at the river Sind belt were given the name Hindu. So everyone became a Hindu National while living in Hindostan or Hindustan irrespective whether the person is a follower of Sanatan Dharma or a follower of Chrtianity. As massive majority living here were followers of Sanatan Dharma, later the word was attached with Sanatan Dharma followers.
Continous peaceful environment is a necessity for the socially, culturally, economically & educationally uplifting the society coupled with sincere, visionary leadership. Thanks.

Will disagree on one statement made by DR, on there was no contribution of Kings in South, there are numerous records which shows Wodeyar contributions to Education, they even had Girls school, Industrial schools. In 1900 Nalwadi Krishna Raja Wodeyar gave 380 acres of land to Jamshedpurji Tata to build a research centre, that's todays Indian Institute of Science (IISc, Bangalore) One of the Top Education and Research centre in Asia

There's a better explanatory video on this. He mostly spoke of the differences and the reasoning doesn't make sense. It's cos people in the south are more in touch with their land and culture, cos there wasn't forced migration and as much strife as in the north. The more you love your land and culture, the more you'll see each other as your own and want development for everybody, not just focus on your own family, religion , or caste.
