Citation is a linebacker that moves like a ballerina. The refinement in the suspension and the power delivery makes Simplicity zero turns amazing, but the Citation is a Lamborghini that's ride feels like a Cadillac. I'd take a courier over much more expensive offerings from other manufacturers. Simplicity zero turns are my favorites. I was a small engine mechanic for years and worked on residential and commercial equipment. Price, value, and dependability put Simplicity at the top of my list. I actually take my Courier over to do my mother's lawn even though she has a 60" deck on a awd diesel Kubota. The Simplicity is much faster, although the Kubota is lots of fun.
Was looking at the Prestige, but have decided to go with the 2022 Citation XT 52” deck for the ride. Wanted really nice stripes, but comfort is more important. Hopefully the Citation still stripes pretty good.
Nice review, but puzzled by one thing....Why compare an entry level $5,000 machine to a far higher up $10,000-11,000 machine?? They have 2 models between the two you compared that are somewhat closer in price. The "Courier XT" would be the more likely comparison most would have done....or possibly the "Contender XT". They are the "Inbetween models, between Courier and Citation.

you can mount a 50" pc of solid rubber to the back with 2x4 or unistrut for awesome striping
Will definitely keep that in mind if I don’t get the stripes that I want. I ended up getting the Citation XT 61” deck, better price.
