Doesn't help the platform holders and publishers constantly have digital game sales to entice gamers into buying digital licenses 20% off, 50% off 80% off etc. It will be interesting to see what happens once digital is the only option in the future. All three console makers and publishers pushing are all in for digital only and are using different strategies to put it all in motion e.g. incomplete games on disk/cart, games that require server check ins, games that are broken on launch which require online patches. For PC I have hopped over to GOG for my games. Don't really like having to sign up for third party launchers, dealing with Digital rights management and needing to be online for a check in when I want to play offline not connected to the internet.
