Because, with NIL/ transfer portal, who's to say these guys will even stick around. Especially the way Texas and others are shelling out the big dollars for top transfers.
I appreciate the sentiment and agree to an extent. Firstly, we don't know exactly how they mix up their rotations. Secondly, and more notably, it's mathematically nearly impossible to get game ready chemistry from 7-8 guys with a total of 10 or so OL combinations. Let's say they have 100 plays, and let's say they need to practice these 100 times to get even just some cohesion. That's 10,000 reps per OL rotation throughout spring, summer and fall camp, and they've had more than 10 combinations total. You don't have enough reps to go around, and if you preemptively take hundreds and thousands of reps away from your 1st depth to give to the 2nd and 3rd, you will never be as good in your first 2, 3 or 4 rotations.

Stop with the excuses. This is OU. There is NO excuse for this performance. BV has done a piss poor job. He should be getting more people reps through camp and practices and he should be having discussions with Schmitty to make the workouts less demanding. We cannot continue to go into seasons so hurt. It's unacceptable. Last time Schmitty was here we had these injury issues as well from OVERTRAINING. I work in the industry and it IS from overtraining and intensity of workouts. We don't want to go back to Riley S&C but we need to find something in the middle. At this point we are going to get DRAGGED by Tennessee which should put BV on the hot seat because 3 years in this is again, UNACCEPTABLE. BV absolutely talked about COMPETITIVE depth for 6 months. Now we hear whining and crying from BV about injuries to the 1's. What a clown. This season so far is why you don't extend a coach who hasn't even won a damn bowl game.
How good can any team be when 14 of your 2 deep are hurt, or injured? Banged up is a term BV loves to use, but hurt, and injured aren't bruises. The fans aren't dumb, and not being honest about the severity of the injuries leads us to think guys should be playing.
Dillon Gabriel should be OU QB. Need to play freshmen and sophomore WRs like Texas, LSU and USC. Trojan start 2 true freshmen on OL. OU needs to develop player depth at WR. 5 to 7 wins. Decomits are coming and BV might be out after 25 season. Why is Tenn so good?

I see betas
Everyone like “let’s go back to 63-58 lol. We need balance ofc but a reminder that OU fans are generally some of the biggest betas in CFB. They try so hard not to be unrealistic like Aggies they go the other way of doom and gloom
The fanbase is tired of all the excuses, yes we have been really unlucky in the injury dept., but this is year 3 the program should be farther along and have more depth .The expectations continue to be lowered in Norman
So it's time to boo the team, run off the talent we do have, and create a "bad fan base" label that can take 20 years to get rid of.
@@-sensibleChrisyes, if you can’t uphold the standard that is OU football then be gone
@@-sensibleChrisnobody said boo the team. You can be critical of this team, disappointed in the on field product and still love your team.
Andrel caught 1 ball in the 3rd qtr for 4 yards against Temple. He won’t be contributing anything of significance for weeks
QUESTION FOR ALL DEVELOPMENT AKA BATES Let’s forget about his emotional stability and we can question his physical attributes before a lot of people don’t understand he’s been in the program. It’s my understanding this is the second year and he still can’t make basic blocking scheme calls also I guess JA is not at a point in his development or he can help with the calls I’m not saying he has to be Peyton Manning, but basic knowledge hell just point at the linebacker if he can do it for the blitz for the running back why not total control
It don't suck to me. Every year our offense lays a egg even when the idiot was here but when the idiot was here our defense sucked o bd we didn't have a chance to over come. The offense layer a egg at kansas and we couldn't stop a under 2 minute drive to get a loss. Give me ten games where the d has to win it and offense score enough to help them out and my ass won't complain one bit. Lets go d lets get a shit load of goose eggs boys
Because of the portal the experience may not be here in 24,25 or 26 unfortunately
Your trying not to let the OTHER teams know. You know... strategy.
The question is why are they so fragile or injured on offense but not Defense?
Excuses , other teams have theses problems and don’t miss a beat.
Andrew will not be the Andrew of 23’ anytime this year.
Injuries are the Schmidty Effect
A "blunt question"? Berry Tramel has chosen to set professionalism aside. The tone and phrasing was aggressive and uncouth.
Boo is in boomer. Let’s not go there!
OU Fans are the are whiners. But there are some that ride the the bull to to success. Then the whiners become bandwagon fans again
No excuses ou will suck and everyone knew it.......OU NIL is a joke..............
Wishful thinkers
Dillon Gabriel should be OU QB. Need to play freshmen and sophomore WRs like Texas, LSU and USC. Trojan start 2 true freshmen on OL. OU needs to develop player depth at WR. 5 to 7 wins. Decomits are coming and BV might be out after 25 season. Why is Tenn so good?
Got ya Coach
No, he’d have similar problems. When you have different levels of talent of OL players with little chemistry. That, imo, is mostly the problem.
Nothing can save this train wreck of a program
Only you can
Another Texas loser or has no life so you got time to troll OU TH-cam.
Talk shit today.......
@@hotcarl3854bingo 😂
Ou won’t ever win another national championship man. Being a fan of this team is pain
