- these videos were my lifeblood for so many years- it only feels right for to contribute with my own! looking back there are quite a few things i would have liked to change, but i hope this is helpful to any prospective applicants or an entertaining watch :)

this is SUCH an under rated video. i love love LOVED the window cut out concepts and how you added and layered paper on your pages. definitely an inspiration.
I am currently nineteen and trying really hard to git gud enough to work in animation one day. These sketchbook tours really remind me how much i have to grow still. You are all amazing artists who undoubtedly deserve it

Literally this makes me so jealous I love how openly creative you work is It’s not just a lil but of practice here and there or a lil bit of drawings it’s literally a burst of creativity and I hope you continue to make more videos so I can get more inspired
I expected myself to laugh at the sketchbook due to all the memes and stereotypes of Calart art. I click a random timestamp and stare in awe.
The whole "calarts style" joke started as just the Ren and Stimpy guy being a washout and bitter about all of his contemporaries, and that was BEFORE all his pedophilia stuff, so you really shouldn't put too much stock into it.
Your art is, stunning! Congrats on being accepted, they definitely have won by gaining such an amazing artist like you!

Fine artist sketchbooks: pages where there's just one line on it, lots of ripped pages, random paint blobs, 2000 unreadable thumbnails, one fully rendered portrait

Everything you have in there is super tactile. I love the little "flip me out!"-s and pasted receipts and stickies.
I must say, I really enjoyed your sketchbook. Compared to some others I have seen, this one feels more like a journal; more personal, more you. I also love the way you draw animals. Wishing you a lots of luck at calarts!

You won’t feel the story behind these sketches until you start practising your iwn art, I discovered that I LOVE to draa almost 2yrs ago (still in the beginners phase since I barely practised fr) I can tell everytime I draw a character or a scene,maybe smth that doesn’t even exist, a whole story comes to my mind and that’s why I love art everytime I look to my sketches I remember everything I used to think about while making them. Your art is beautiful and it has a whole world inside it
I really like how you augment your drawings by adding background colour and adding little fold out sketches, I’ve been trying to apply some of these techniques to my own sketchbooks. A really simple addition but it really makes everything pop!

I was really scared when I saw the first page, it’s so good that it’s lineart, and also your gesture, I’m still a beginner so this video showed me how much I have to improve and learn

This fills me up with jealousy, I hope one day I could be this good enough to have the confidence to send something like this. I have not enough creativity or skill to draw that much or to fill a sketchbook that looks beautiful or full of life. I hope my art becomes enough. I shall settle with the art school I'm entering in my own country, hoping that I will improve as an artist.
