I didn’t want the questions or the pity so I wore the fake smile till one night I took all the pills my Dr was prescribing all at once, a full month supply of each with a 12 pack of beer I guzzled. I woke up in ICU 3 days later with an Asian Dr standing over me. He said he didn’t know if I’d remember him from my delirium But his name was Dr. Tsin (pronounced sin) and I suddenly realized I was dead and my hell was a hospital bed for eternity bc of what I’d done. I grew up in a hospital bed that was the one thing I thought I was escaping. The Dr. must’ve recognized the terror on my face but I don’t think he realized why, beginning with his name. I never tried again and won’t even consider it no matter how bad it gets bc of that realization I would spend eternity in that hospital bed with all those tubes and monitors, needles. I apologized to every person I knew, I apologized to every nurse I came in contact with in that stay. I apologized to the lady who cleaned my room! I was embarrassed at what I’d done which is really strange

The best musical “siblings”. Ren has called her his sister from another mister and a female version of himself due to their similar approach to music. For me I think it shows in the fact that they both have that something special that draws you in and demands attention. To see it fully for Chinchilla, check out her live version of Fingers. This song always reminds that one of the (many) things that makes Ren so great is his ability to know exactly when to be complex, keep it simple, or even use silence to get his message across. You need to look at a short video of REN’s called something like A Day In The Life Of REN. It really shows you all the medication he was having to take.
15 years of different medications. 15 years, so many hospitalizations for both mental and physical. 15 years of NOTHING working. Finally, FINALLY, got diagnosed "functional neurological disorder". My brain is basically f*cked at a cellular level. Medications do not work, will not work, can not work. I am the physical manifestation of "can not handle" stress from a lifetime of "bad shit happened". I've heard this song numerous times, so many times, and I still get goosebumps because I felt this way too much. I want to be okay, but it's starting to sink in I won't be and nothing will fix it. So, new habits to drown shit out because I won't be able to do what has helped before, even if the new habits are just for a little bit.
Don’t want to freak you out more than you already are but FND is basically we don’t know WTF is going on. Get tested for Lyme disease with Armin or IGenix
@craigbullard8163 been tested for Lyme, lead poisoning, Ms, Parkinson, lupus, and a bunch of other things. I found some scientific articles about FND. I don't just have FND, it's "complex FND with multiple subtypes" bc of the range and severity of my symptoms, what they mimic and having *every* single test come back "normal". This is what my specialist neurologist has told me. I can no longer drive, my vision looks like I'm looking out of a fishbowl, I'm either hot or freezing, seizures, muscle spasms, cognitive issues, speech issues, chest pain, partial paralysis, weakness to the point of falling... it goes on and on. Not all at once, but every day is like Russian roulette. It's extremely difficult to deal with, but I'm learning to recognize the beginning of symptoms before they totally lay me out. It's frustrating bc of how bad my symptoms are. I literally just want to learn how to function. There is a clinic near me that is just for FND. But it's still hard to get answers of how to deal since meds can't treat them.
I completely understand your frustration with drs. I had cancer in 2010. And then two years ago got long term Covid. So the combination of what chemo did to me and long term Covid = I’m all fuc ed up. And for two years they don’t know what to do with me. So I’m almost bed bound at 42 with 5 kids. This is why rens music touches me so deeply. I have to take the damn meds to stay alive. But there are days that I’m so mad about it. Just Fing cure me!! Sorry, off the soap box

So I just want to say I don’t usually listen to music reaction channels,however you two are fabulous. I’m subscribed and a fan. I’m a big time Chinchilla and Ren fan. I’m appreciating the fact that both of you have such honest reactions to these two mega talented artists. I’m not a musician ,but I have had a big love for music since being a very little girl, I’m now 62 years old and have never ever not had music in my life. It’s my joy. Chronic illness is a fucking beast. The entire process is traumatizing from the medical gaslighting to the tests to the cost to meds to the side effects (hello cancer screenings) to the mental strain to the constant state of stress to the point your body shuts down just to stay alive and looking down the tunnel knowing you’ve still got another 50years of this ahead unless it kills me first. It’s brutal.

"Crutch" dates back to a time when Ren thought he wouldn't live much longer. Bibi was his girlfriend at that time and started a GoFundMe to raise donations for his treatment/diagnosis.

I spent 11 years not knowing what was wrong with me. A week out of every month in the hospital for years. I've been ill well over half my life now - and though it has a name now (a few, really), there's no cure and this is just how my life is going to be. Pain. Inflammation. Illness. Fevers. Fake joints. This song in particular spoke to me the loudest.

Amazing reaction. Sorry to hear about what went through when you were younger. My husband and I were also prescribed medication with horrible side effects. So you are correct in that many of us can relate. Ren posted a video when he reached his one million subscribers and asked that the medical industry needs to do better. I had a mystery illness for years just like Ren. I was finally diagnosed in my mid 20s after being sick since birth. That illness unfortunately causes a lot of secondary stuff so it's a freaking fight all the time to understand what's going on. I have a lot of anger for what doctors put me through that was entirely unnecessary. I relate to Ren so much as do most of us in the chronic illness community. Great reaction! I had undiagnosed fibromyalgia for about ten yrs. Went to atieast ten doctors. Lost count. Finally found a doctor who immediately knew what it was. Sent me to a rheumatologist to confirm. Unfortunately though the medications for that don't work for me. Some made it worse. So I learned to treat it myself. Most doctors do suck.
I read someone's comment about this video and the chair's significance. Cherophobia is the fear of being okay. Props to whoever made the comment that educated me.

When chinchilla said sip of serotonin and setraline it broke my heart a medication they put me on that caused me to commit suicide I felt fuc…..ing insane. It took months to get off it , then I was given Prozac, another death sentence, then 50 different ones today 3 are opiates. I’m not living I’m just trying to survive and listen to music, So REN you did good. 👍

Chronic illness is a fucking beast. The entire process is traumatizing from the medical gaslighting to the tests to the cost to meds to the side effects (hello cancer screenings) to the mental strain to the constant state of stress to the point your body shuts down just to stay alive and looking down the tunnel knowing you’ve still got another 50years of this ahead unless it kills me first. It’s brutal.

I wanna recommend another great duet: 'Ren ft. Bibi - Crutch'. A heartbreaking, beautiful and deep song. Absolutely underrated in my opinion. Has a great no-budget video as well. "Crutch" dates back to a time when Ren thought he wouldn't live much longer. Bibi was his girlfriend at that time and started a GoFundMe to raise donations for his treatment/diagnosis.

I spent 11 years not knowing what was wrong with me. A week out of every month in the hospital for years. I've been ill well over half my life now - and though it has a name now (a few, really), there's no cure and this is just how my life is going to be. Pain. Inflammation. Illness. Fevers. Fake joints.

Amazing reaction. Sorry to hear about what went through when you were younger. My husband and I were also prescribed medication with horrible side effects. So you are correct in that many of us can relate. Ren posted a video when he reached his one million subscribers and asked that the medical industry needs to do better. I had a mystery illness for years just like Ren. I was finally diagnosed in my mid 20s after being sick since birth. That illness unfortunately causes a lot of secondary stuff so it's a freaking fight all the time to understand what's going on. I have a lot of anger for what doctors put me through that was entirely unnecessary. I relate to Ren so much as do most of us in the chronic illness community. Great reaction! I had undiagnosed fibromyalgia for about ten yrs. Went to atieast ten doctors. Lost count. Finally found a doctor who immediately knew what it was. Sent me to a rheumatologist to confirm. Unfortunately though the medications for that don't work for me. Some made it worse. So I learned to treat it myself. Most doctors do suck.
I read someone's comment about this video and the chair's significance. Cherophobia is the fear of being okay.

When chinchilla said sip of serotonin and setraline it broke my heart a medication they put me on that caused me to commit suicide I felt fuc…..ing insane. It took months to get off it , then I was given Prozac, another death sentence, then 50 different ones today 3 are opiates. I’m not living I’m just trying to survive and listen to music, So REN you did good. 👍
