Who likes finding ceramics at Antique Fairs? The biggest market in the UK is at Kempton Park and I visited the first in 2025 last week. It is a Treasure Hunt! I have identified scores of 19th and 20th Century pots but you can surely help me identify more!
David, love that you attended but you arrived very late based on the light. I had shopped & left before you arrived I am guessing. 6.30am is the time to enter. I mainly buy ceramics & the dealers are out in force buying to resell. By 9am the best is long gone. Come & join the scrum. I think you will love it.
Hi Sean Thanks for the feedback and encouragement. I have a dealer friend who attends regularly and plan to join him early in the next few weeks. I am looking forward to witnessing the scrum!
@@PotteriesAuthor It is by many levels the best sourcing place in England. I have been to them all & all of London's most active dealers buy from Kempton. They day you visited I bought two Minton tube lined plates as part of a dealers 3 for £5 clearance. Made the day just on one stall. Come summer every inch is packed. If you love pottery you really should be a regular.
That's good to know. I collect but I am not a dealer. But I would love to learn more. I do plan to film on a regular basis, probably focussing on different aspects each time.
