    Im definitely doing this. Good diy tip, just bought me a 1560 for my cam equipment, and drone but cables and gopro screws etc are difficult to organise in the pluck foam, the original lid organizer costs to many and this is versatile what you did 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

    Nice job. MDF is really heavy. Any reason why you didn’t just stick the Velcro to the case itself? Bonus…you gain about an inch in depth..and you know the ladies like that😂

      It’s more for the ease of removing the Velcro, in case I want to change it up or sell the case.

    Lucky find with those Velcro pouches. The UK needs a Dollar Store!! We have Pond Shops but it’s hard to find anything decent in them. Great job mate. 👍🏻👊🏻

    Should have use a foam board first of used box to measure the lid. Then transfer that measurement to the MDF so as to have the perfect holes for the screws🤦‍♂🤦‍♂🤦🏻

    Is there a reason why you opted to install the MDF and not just stick the velcro on the inside of the lid? Wouldn't doing this also provide more space and save weight?

    I dont really like the idea of velcrow... Would like to put my laptop there but am afraid velcro just wont be strong enough..

    • @kristiancarrasquillo5155
      @kristiancarrasquillo5155 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Put the 3m al around should work just fine that thing is stupid strong

    • @joebecker3107
      @joebecker3107 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Indystrial strength velco will definitely hold... Im putting a laptop in mine lid as well.. they have slim hardshell laptop cases on Amazon.. You can add industrial /3m velcro to that.

      You could also bolt on a cheap neoprene sleeve…it would be a little more permanent though.

    Why not skip the board install and go direct against the under side of the lid?

    • @noereyes6306
      @noereyes6306 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I thought that too, but you can also decide to change out the board. if you stick directly and decide you don't want velcro. then it can be tricky to remove the velcro (depending on strength of the actual velcro)

      @@noereyes6306 WD - 40 may be the answer to EZ removing the Velcro should you require to.

    • @TheDutchmanCreative
      @TheDutchmanCreative  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Installing directly onto the lid is a great idea, it will also give you a little bit more room as the pouches will sit in more.
      It was more so if you want to resell the case if you change your set up. Then you wouldn’t have to try to remove the Velcro.

      I used 1/2. But if you use a thicker piece of mdf you may want 3/4

    Do you know the brand on the organizer pouches? I'm not finding anything "that" nice for a reasonable price. Vertx/Maxpedition/et all have some REALLY nice pouches, but by the time I buy them, I'd have paid for a whole new case.

      Some thing like this: www.amazon.ca/dp/B08ZYD8BLY/ref=twister_B08ZL54MGS?_encoding=UTF8&th=1
      Will be semi transparent and have Velcro, already on it. Another option is: www.amazon.com/Resistant-Polyester-Toiletry-Organizer-Removable/dp/B0BXPXCLPZ?th=1

    • @TheDutchmanCreative
      @TheDutchmanCreative  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It’s called the: American Tourister Rollup Travel Bag
      I got mine at a dollarama for a few bucks but I have found them at a Winner’s being sold for $30... so if you are looking to buy one try to shop around for a deal. Here is a link to one I found online:
