I stumbled upon this 2014 as well and I am just now coming back to it. I have been torn inside about creating motivational content to share my story with anyone who needs to hear it. It has ultimately been my fear holding me back. It is time for me to push through and make it happen. We all need this inspiration and I am so glad we are all here and I know we all appreciate Younes Marxieu so much for helping us during our times of need. Lets go out and make the world a better place. Just start within yourself first and then branch out to your part of the world and one day we can all meet in the middle making sure that we are setting up future generations with the skills to succeed and be happy!
Literally used to listen too this before college. 9 years later I feel like I'm hitting a wall in my career. I can't believe I forgot this message. Much needed
I use to listen them in university, now after losing my house, women, car , career , i am back again. Life is rollacosta brother but we forget what we are capable of.
I wish I would've been brave enough years ago to give up on my dreams. But here I am trying my best so I can give my two daughter's and myself a better life.
I have been listening to this exact video since I was 13, and I am now 20. It takes me back exactly to the time and space of back then. It helps me remember.
I allowed my past, my insecurities, my anxiety, my fear run my life. It has put a strain on my relationship. Maybe it’s time for me to focus on myself, so if I was to go back to that person or maybe meet someone else, I’m 100%
Just remember that its just like an elastic band. It will snap. So remember the wheels on the bus go round. It won't work without one cog. Stay safe we need ya bro.
For the past 6 years, I have always come to this video, in every time I am down and every time I feel hopeless continuing my road to my ultimate goal. A goal that I left home for on a 10-year plan. 6 years of this plans are done. I have gone above and beyond during these years, far beyond what I anticipated. The 4-5 years are critical as I am approaching my next big obstacle to keep up with my plan. It has been a very tough road so far, but I pushed through it and I will continue pushing through it! I will come back to this comment next summer after I overcome my biggest obstacle in continuing the road to start the second phase (5 last years) of my plan! Keep me in your thoughts!
I was put down all my life and I always stood up to the bullies even when it got me a busted nose, I left high school with only 4 GCSE's, only one was a C. The rest were D or less. I fought for a chance, for chances to go to college, something I never wanted to do. But I decided to go and I hated it, but then i got kicked out over a situation not in my control AND was kicked out of my mums for a while. That was 4 years ago, i'm in my last year of college in a place that I love, getting ready to go to university. I'm going to create and inspire, i'm going to be the best I ever could be. Last year i failed both Maths and English yet again, I got a D in both of them, but in English I became ill during the exam, I was one of the top in the class and could have easily had a B. It was that illness that prevented me from succeeding, so I've already enrolled to do it this year, i'll get that B if I have to die trying... And then, i'll go to university.
I can't believe I found this in a moment of my life where I thought suicide is going to be the answer, where I have academic problems right now, and where I want to be with someone I love. Not only that, I was thinking on giving up my dream that are somewhat depended and independent of the former three things I mentioned. I don't know if it was God who led me here today in this moment of my life where I saw only darkness, or just some mere consequence, but thank you.
I read your comments from 4 years ago, how awesome that you found this video to change the course of a terrible ending. 2018, I’m hoping you are in a place that is full of life and possibilities. Thanks for posting...👍🏾
I won’t lie these talks gave me hope and pushed myself. I’ve been at my lowest that never knew existed. I wanted to gave up so badly but I had a desire for life a dream that wanted to make reality.
"Why would you skip that workout? Why would you give up on that last rep? Why would you cheat on that meal?" That is the part that hit me the most... If you think about it there are absolutely no logical explanations for why you would do that to yourself, not a single one, and that's why I'm getting my butt where I need to be TODAY not Monday, now, right now.
Am 23yrs old and as I look back i have realized that FEAR has prevented me from becoming who i wanted to be, what i wanted to do and who i have wanted to be with, this video just gave me a dose of motivation to overcome my fears.......
@@alpFiLa Funny thing is, today is my birthday and reading my comment from 10 years ago is like opening a time capsule. A lot has changed, and I laugh every time I remember the things that I used to worry so much about when I was younger. As far as fear, the older I got, the more I realized that it was just a normal human response. I used to try to fight it off but now I'm like, "oh my mind and body is just doing its thing", then I proceed to do what I need to regardless. This mindset has definitely brought me more success in my adult life.
Man this video takes me back to the days when I had to learn how to walk again. The pain I felt and the tears I've shed during that difficult time in my life was my own ticket to freedom.
The last year for me has been hard being unemployed and being unable to find work, I was about to throw in the towel and change my career. All of a sudden I received an invite from a big company interested in me. Today I got the job. Now I’m here to thank this video that has been with me over the years. Don’t be scared to face your fears!
Saw this when it first came out. From football, to bodybuilding, to the army. I fell off due to injuries incurred in the line of duty and lost myself for the past two years. I finally ran again today, for the first time in over 2 years. Thank you for the motivation.
Diagnosed with eye cancer almost 3 years ago, after treatments cancer came back twice and I’m waiting to go into surgery again, thanks for giving me strength.
So true. I asked a top student in my class how he stays so motivated to study, so early before the test and when noone else is. He said he's anxious/fearful he wouldn't know the answer on the day. I thought not being afraid, not getting test anxiety made me strong. In fact the opposite. It made me weak as I wasn't using one of the most powerful drives in human nature. Fear.
I watched this video last year, I wanted to be a UFC fighter, now I'm taught in 3 arts and have the body I've always wanted, I would never had done it if it weren't for this video, thank you
This video truly changed my life when I first watched it 6 years ago. Was coming out of a horrible breakup, didn’t have any real marketable skills, no education, and had all these dreams and envisioned what it would be like to have them, but there was always that F-word holding me back, whispering in my ear to not even - wait for it... Try. It paralyzed me. This F word literally stopped my dreams in their tracks, each and every one, mercilessly. And this word of course is probably the most important emotion in life FEAR It literally runs us, it is the ultimate Boolean mechanism for every single situation in our life’s outcome , “You know you really should go introduce yourself to that person over there” Fear either says yes or no, it has a conversation with you to rationalize itself. It’s crazy to think about, and I’m rambling on but the part of the video that changed my life when I internalized it was 4:20 That whole conversation between Bruce and the wise man is literally a metaphor for our relationship with fear. Fear is the rope. To become great, you must become like a child and not use the rope (i.e. have no fear). To become like a child and be willing to try and learn, be willing to fail. I applied this way of thinking to my life since then and I have tripled my income, got an education, and have realized a number of my initial dreams. I write this because I see myself lately reaching for the rope again, welcoming Fear as an old, comfortable friend that will tell me it’s okay not to “make the climb”. Live life without the rope...
I've been sending these to a friend who's going thru hard times. I ask her what she thought/thinks and she never watches them. My hope is one day she will scroll thru our messages, watch them and FEEL them, truly feel them. Some people are content allowing that "thing", whatever it is, to control their life.
I try listening to this. But I had a serious lost a week ago. Ever since, I have been losing myself. I used to be very motivated, dedicated and a hard worker to my vision, my dream. Yet after that serious lost. I started smoking, weed, games, drinking, sleeping late, waking late, meaningless sex... I started to listen to others. They say I can't, it' impossible... I'm just getting poisened all the time...my soul. I fear. I fear losing my dream. Since the fact I can only barely see it now... However there is still this little tiny voice inside of me. Who still tells me I can, it's still possible. It ain't over yet. I can still do it! It's begging me to Rise, to get back in the game. To be me. To stop listening to the others and start listening to myself. I'm just so misserable right now. I need a sign or just something to bring me back. :( I don't want to fail. I don't want to lose my dream. It's hard. It's dahm, absurd hard. Despite all the "No's" and the failures. And everyone is trying to tell you to give up. REALLY EVERYONE! Just you, Just me I mean. Just me... Just me who keeps believing that I can. That it's still possible. Yes, I failed however every single muscle and bone inside of me tells me I can. They all tell me I will go forward to the end. It's IMPOSSIBLE All I got to say. I still believe it. Just after my failure and everyone. Just not that bad anymore. I'm losing myself. If there are any brothers, sisters or Titans out there. Please, I need a sign or just something to get back. I will die without it. Just this poison is slowly taking over me. It is turning me in something that ain't truly me. It might be good. But it's not good for me. I need a sign, just something. I'm sorry for my weakness and being such a coward. I have to be "ME" again... I don't want to lose. :(
Li Cheng Someday you may end up a parent, and as always happens, your child will have their rough times. Do you want to be there and say: "You can get through this. You just have to keep going. Like I did." or would you rather be wondering what would have happened if you had just kept fighting? I once struggled immensely to see any light at the end of the tunnel. There was only pain and I in the dark. Then I had and idea. I saw an image in my head of someone I wanted to be. That's when I found my first motivational video. From that day I always tried, and no matter how bad it got in the back of my head I knew it could get better. And here I am one year later. Hope was always by my side. But one week ago loneliness drove the hope away, until only the tiniest snuff of it remained. I was almost gone. All the struggles, victories and losses, that had accumulated to make me as myself almost ceased to matter. But that little voice that always guided me pushed me a little bit farther. I'm back on my feet. I can look in the mirror and see what I saw in my head all that time ago. I defeated my fears, insecurities, and weaknesses. I am not perfect, but I can forgive myself for my mistakes. Times are still rough, and will be, but I trust myself. However unlikely it may be, my happy ending is now possible, and it's not over until I win.
Whenever I feel down, whenever I lose my pump or get tired, this is where I go and it works every time. Thank you for making this, it's really inspirational
Stop scrolling. Stop, just breathe. Calm down, you can do it. Do your best, even if you fail try again. You can do it, never give up. Don't let anyone bring you down, believe in yourself. Stay strong!
Most my life I had one central goal. It motivated me to accomplish everything that came my way. This goal wasn't a positive force. It was very negative. I wanted to leave everything that made me who I was. Through a sort of awakening I realized I was the source of my own pain fueling this goal. Since then all I wanted to do was numb my reality. I started neglecting school, letting my grades slip, disregarding my relationships, smoking weed daily, and generally not caring about my future. Your videos breathed life into me. I don't want look back on my life and think I gave up because I lost myself. I don't want to think about missed opportunities because I was self-loathing at home. I want to be someone. Thank you for this video. You saved me.
I needed this more than anything I needed this because being comfortable has got me weak and I hate being comfortable!!! comfortability is the biggest enemy on the planet which lies in all of us. let's get rid of it!!!
Sometimes I feel dead already. I know what I want. But I also know what Family and Society are exspecting. My father is dead my mother dealed with drugs and all contact between us is gone. I just have my uncle and my grandparents. Good People. Worked their ass of. For nothing. They are old. They don't have enough Money and are struggeling month to month. I could write but its hard for me to focus on anything (ADHD). I mean this Video is wonderful. But it's up to us to break the bonds and Limits. No Video will do that for us. Good luck to everyone.
I have a fear of failing in life. It's something that keeps coming in my mind. I want to become a physical therapist because I want to help. I have a passion for helping people in need. I want people to know that there is always a way out. But this fear of failure, it just slowly eats your inside. Slowly and painfully. FEAR IS THE REASON FOR NOT BECOMING SUCCESSFUL! DON'T LET IT STOP YOU
This video has changed my life completely. I escaped my negative mindset of blaming everyone but myself only thanks to this video... Thank you so much!!!
just love this video.....hv seen it so many tyms dat now i remember each n every word of this video but yet this video keeps on encouraging me and helps me to hv dfaith in myself n my effort rather than having faith in my fear......thans YOUNES MARXIEU.........thank you soo soo much......keep up wit d goood work of motivating throught d wourld.........!!!!!!
Please never delete this video, I’ve watched it countless times and it helps me get through things in my life and helped me forge myself into something better than I was. I genuinely wouldn’t be who I am with out this video.
I finished Marine boot camp 2 weeks ago, and damn… how hard it was being away from home. Not seeing the people you’ve always seen your whole life. Now my boot leave is about to be over tomorrow and I have to go back to training. I fear homesickness is going to terrorize me again. This short break from training was not helping. I thought it would…
This has really been the thing that helped me to get back on my feet. It's really a huge turning point, I quite literally lived in fear, wallowed, basked in it like it was something that would help me along the way by preventing me from making bad decisions. But no, it finally reared its ugly head and forced me into months of regret from not doing certain things that I've wanted to for almost my entire life. This one thing, a mere TH-cam video, showed me how the path that I chose was wrong. Nothing can stop the previous decisions, they have happened, their consequences are only beginning. But I can stop more of those piling up, eating away at my will to live and at my hope that things will get better, they can stop. They are mentally and physically preventable. It just takes knowing when to take action and when to sit down and shut up. Know when to use both, and life's challenges will greatly fade. Remember, live for YOU, not THEM.
In the end, the only way you can ever reach your goals is if you take that first leap of faith. Once you've broken that ice, the ability to attack your fears will be what guides you to success. It all starts with a leap of faith.
I know im only 14, but i already know what i was sent here to do. To be a United States Coast Guard Rescue Swimmer. EVERYONE tells me "you cant do it" or "your too small" and "your too weak". I CAN. AND I WILL.
There is such a striking difference in realism between the motivational speakers speaking to others and the guys in their room with a mic and Garage Band
I know I'm 13 and this might sound childish but I want to become an NFL football star and I want to achieve my dream because I believe I can put hard work and dedication into it idc what my friends say I will become a football star no matter what it takes
I have just one thing to say and that's don't ever let up you take advantage of every second you can you gotta sacrifice sleep, gotta sacrifice friends, it wont get easier you just keep grinding and don't ever accept no as an answer
Sometimes we tend to blame the country where we live in, but i think the solution is always in our mind. Because we don take risks, results take time to show up.
I was scared of talking to my crush till I devoted myself to no longer have fear... I was nervous, scared, but I had a clear opportunity to talk to her... the moment my opportunity started to fade away was when I felt a preview of how my regret would be if I did nothing, so I hoped for another opportunity to talk to her then it came, she was there all alone, bored, and I jumped strait for it without thinking of anything... I told her if I got her name right and she turned red and kept saying yes
I’m 14. But my youth is not something to look down upon. Im ready to make a change I’m ready to change my world. I will work in harmony with my fear. My fear does NOT push me away, it motivates me! Have my entire youth, my entire life, to work for my goal- my DREAM! And no one can say I won’t accomplish it, because I will.
I’m going through the worst times of my life. But being this down excites me. It doesn’t matter how bad I’ve fallen, and it doesn’t matter how behind I’ve become, it doesn’t matter what happened, what matters is that I’ll get through it.
Im not lying or making this up that this particular video helped me conquer my challenges and reach my goals. I've probably watched this video at least 70-80 times throughout the past 6 years. I wish i could give all the details of what i accomplished but it's a very long story. Thank you to the uploader for making this video...I say this with 100% sincerity that it changed my life!
I teared up, but damn i need to cry- thank you though. Lately ive been in an emotional "shut down". Ive lost control of myself, and i hate it. Ive been feeling depressed and unable to feel- like, im a ball of darkness. I HATE IT SO MUCH ITS QUITE UNLIKE ME. Lately ive been feelingn anxious and afraid as well, even the stupidest things like "what my crush thinks of me" or the stupid fear of being alone, that "my friends will leave me". Ive done nothing wrong so far but i have the feeling these emotions will blind me. I need to have control again, to not be afraid, and not let this get to me... Thank you for this inspirational vid, i feel more empowered to achieve and do more ☺️💕✨
idk man, i watch these videos and they motivate me for the moment and then im back to reality and realize how shitty everything is, but then its like im blessed to have the life i have but mentally im just weak and cant handle it and i just break down and theres no motivation left in me
what i do is i download alot of these videos in mp3 form and i listen to it when am outside when am working out and when am doing my homeworks and studying it helped me alot so i stay always motivated
That's because you need a reason my friend. How long you're motivated, depends on your WHY; the reason why you do what you do. If you are doing what you do for a greater good, nothing will stop you. But if you are doing it for for example money, fame girls etc. It won't last, that's for sure. - Bottom line is, you need to find a reason that you can think about, when you feel low and find a fire within to do the damn thing.
When I am working out and practicing (wanna be an MLS soccer player) I just think of the reward. The better I get the more of a chance I have at getting on an MLS soccer team.
Most people had have heard this stuff so many times but just a few will not even think to go through the struggles until they are force to do it. Just one small decision will make a big change in our lives. Great video.
Li Cheng , find that power within you cuz no one else can decide for you .Take the responsability , and believe in you . Be a inspiration . We r here for you .Love you .We r strong toghether , always search help when you need it .
Isaiah 41:10 "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand."
I play football (soccer) and i constantly doubt myself, whenever i make a mistake a pile more and more pressure on myself. im afraid that i will let down everyone that believes in me. im afraid that people will judge me by my mistakes, im afraid that i will fail. i let these thoughts and doubts seep through my head over and over again. its the constant failure that haunts me, although through all the training i put myself through all the time and devotion i ask myself, is it necessary and will it pay off. im only 14 but i already have so much doubt and stress through my head its unbearable at times and i need to find a switch to change my mentality and be positive towards my thoughts and actions but i cant seem to see through all the doubts that i put myself through
At 14 years old you have a dream, alot kids around your age now do not have that. Use all those negative thoughts as a tool of motivation. Stress is just your mind telling your heart you can't do it or its to hard. Listen to your heart so when you do wake up every morning and your mind is telling you its going to be a hard day today just give up you dont do it or go back to bed whats one day off going to hurt, you tell yourself this I'M NOT READY TO QUIT! That's when your heart and soul start building the strength to over power any stress and negative thoughts you may have about yourself. You have a dream, treasure that dream hold on to it and when someone tells you cant look righ at them with a smile and say Thank you, thank you for telling me I cant cause your the reason I wake up every morning stay late in practice to be what I am dreaming for. Listen no one can guarantee that you will make it pro not even yourself, but if you quit I can guarantee that you will regret for quitting thinking about the what ifs and that's when stress and negatively over powers the heart. Im 30 yeara old and trust me I have a lot of what ifs in my life I have regrets also, but those things are my tools in life to tell myself never quit and know what you are worth. Never stop dreaming kid, dreams are the things that give our heart strength dreams are there to give you instructions and what you want out of life. Im not going to say good luck cause you make your own luck. Lifes going to throw some punches and you may get knocked down but your heart will make you get up and you will learn how to dodge those punches. Keep a big heart kid send me a jersey when you make it pro.
Eli Pejoski its funny you say that, just last week i broke my leg and now i'm out for about 12 weeks, i am absolutely devastated but i hope i come back mentally stronger and bounce back stronger
your 14 years old just go out and enjoy your game ,,play YOUR game,, if you have a bad game then so what your not a robot thats gonna have the perfect game every week ,,dont let it eat you up ,,play with a smile and dont think too much about it ,,trust me pal youll be ok
I listened to this video today and I had many ideas running through my mind. One of my biggest fear in mind is failing in college. I realized that fear has the power to paralyze your mindset and if you let it win, it will beat you. Fear can be challenged and overcome each second, minute, hour and day. Work at your fear and beat it. #challenge #conquer #win
I know I'm only 13 years old and my dream my not have nothing to do with sports but, my dream is to become a Manga Artist, to make something almost or even better than Naruto or DBZ, Bleach, One Piece. My Fear is to make it to the top, drop, and start all over again. But Thanks to this video... it's time to face my fears.
Good luck with that, use your imagination watch manga stories play RPG games like Final Fantasy and you will make it happend, i had the same dream as you but i quitted because I was afraid and i didnt have the dedication to finish the road, don't give up make it happend ;-)
I was never really close to my grandfather, because he lived far away. He wanted to get closer to me, so we organized a trip together. We chose to go to a military museum that was located near an old military airbase where my uncle used to work. I should probably mention my family sort of has a military tradition. My grandfather's father lost one of his limbs while defending our country from the germans. My grandfather served as a conscript in the air force. My uncle was an officer in the airforce. When I was at this museum with my grandfather, he kept talking about how much he enjoyed his time in the air force, and I couldn't shake the feeling he was trying to convince me to join the military, preferably the air force. My grandfather died a few months later. I have always dreamt of joining the military (preferably the cavalry though), but I have always considered it impossible. Currently, I have been diagnosed with autism (nothing too bad, I just don't express emotions as much as others and I have a lower need for social interaction. I have no weird emotional outbursts, I have better control of my emotions than most non-autistic people), asthma, and ADD. I will eliminate all of these things. I will disprove the autism diagnosis, because the report was shit, I will abuse the shit out of my lungs untill they stop complaining about not getting enough air and I will try EEG biofeedback to get rid of the ADD. I'll probably still fail and get permanently locked out from the military at the psychological test, but it'll be worth it.
Thanks to your family for serving our country. And even if you don't get to serve yourself, I'm sure there's a lot you can achieve. I wish you all the best.

“When you change the way you look at things; The things you look at change.” That’s powerful
I have been listening to this exact video since I was 13, and I am now 20. It takes me back exactly to the time and space of back then. It helps me remember.
Let’s go bro!
Same here I’m 24 now but use to hear when i was 13 in school now I’m working security on the job sitting hearing this helping me my mind
I allowed my past, my insecurities, my anxiety, my fear run my life. It has put a strain on my relationship. Maybe it’s time for me to focus on myself, so if I was to go back to that person or maybe meet someone else, I’m 100%
This is the year I kissed goodbye to my comfort zone!
I hope so
I hope so too

and living the life of your Dreams!
Comfort breeds weakness.

Hi

Been here is 2016 and in 2024. Paycheck went up by 200k but know I can do better

Hey FreemasonSeeker,
Curious to know how are you feeling now?
3:07 to 3:33.... some of the strongest words a human being can hear. I love this.
Dejanna Little your comments spoke to me more then the video..thank you 🙏
I like that
Am 23yrs old and as I look back i have realized that FEAR has prevented me from becoming who i wanted to be, what i wanted to do and who i have wanted to be with, this video just gave me a dose of motivation to overcome my fears.......
Now u r 33 what has changed
@@alpFiLa Funny thing is, today is my birthday and reading my comment from 10 years ago is like opening a time capsule. A lot has changed, and I laugh every time I remember the things that I used to worry so much about when I was younger. As far as fear, the older I got, the more I realized that it was just a normal human response. I used to try to fight it off but now I'm like, "oh my mind and body is just doing its thing", then I proceed to do what I need to regardless. This mindset has definitely brought me more success in my adult life.

7 month late but well done. Keep going.
Diagnosed with eye cancer almost 3 years ago, after treatments cancer came back twice and I’m waiting to go into surgery again, thanks for giving me strength.
Hope you are doing good , may God bless you with good health.
its happening, after many years of listening to this my dreams are coming true
These videos saved my life time and time again. When I fall I come back here and then push forward to get done what I need to get done. Thank you
This made me change my life
And this word of course is probably the most important emotion in life
FEAR
It literally runs us, it is the ultimate Boolean mechanism for every single situation in our life’s outcome ,
“You know you really should go introduce yourself to that person over there”
Fear either says yes or no, it has a conversation with you to rationalize itself.
It’s crazy to think about, and I’m rambling on but the part of the video that changed my life when I internalized it was 4:20
That whole conversation between Bruce and the wise man is literally a metaphor for our relationship with fear.
Beautiful Younes. You're one of the best on youtube right now. Thank you so much for this one.
I don't want to fail.
It's IMPOSSIBLE
All I got to say.
Ive just seen this now, never. Ever let a dream go as youll regret it! I know its been a year but how are you holding up?
You got this, you can do it! Remember small steps result smaller mistakes, in return help you achieve the big dream.
This is your sign. Get up
Li Cheng Someday you may end up a parent, and as always happens, your child will have their rough times.
Li Cheng Now rise, and go get your life back.
Stay strong!
thank you
It's been 5 years. Thank you

Those videos just changed my life!

I thought it would…
You earn your eagle?
This puts tears in my eyes...
2022 been too long since I saw this but I've came a long way. A long way. God Bless all your journeys

In the end, the only way you can ever reach your goals is if you take that first leap of faith. Once you've broken that ice, the ability to attack your fears will be what guides you to success. It all starts with a leap of faith.
this made me realize that I shouldn't be afraid of the unknown of a new thing. I ship out for the Navy in October.

I'm motivated by the fear of being average!
