That's a great video. I have the same boat and have yet to take it out of the box (for over a year). Your video showed me exactly what I should expect and I think I'm ready to get after it. Thank you!
@@TravelGT I did as instructed and I'm proud to say that SS Dinghy had her maiden voyage today. I referenced your video and I thank you again. I had a BLAST on it!!
Ventilation? You mean cavitation? If the float is not fully filled up, it will have a suction pocket moving into top speeds. Top speed with my 5HP outboard is not full throttle. Unless I have 4 people in the boat. Then it’ll sit more flat and push a little stronger. But yea these do not move the same in water hard bottom or V hull dingy boats. I’d say add a little weight like a cooler or something to the back center, have someone sit in the front center. See how it picks up from there! Good luck!
🥰 I think it’s been over a year now, so far I’ve still not taken it out of the ocean. Never put fresh water through it.. Maybe it’s the Nissan, Water pump is working strong 💪

Yeah Adrian! Go get that thing unboxed! Good luck!

Yo! Great news! Catch Adrian outside!!
hows it been holding up?
It’s still 100%. Filled completely with water from all the rain, it was full to the top still floating.
@@TravelGT thanks for the response im about to go grab one as we speak!
never start without water lol!
Hi, do you have any ventilation issues with the Tobin? I use a Tohatsu 6hp and have bad ventilation issues.

How long did it take to inflate??
About 15 - 20 minutes
Short shaft or long shaft motor?
Short shaft
@@TravelGT do you know the specific shaft length?
Its ok to start it out of the water for a few seconds! Not gonna get hot after a few seconds
😂 thank you!! Finally some good advice.
Yer its fine iv seen macanics do if all the time with a tin of easy start when they get engines in that don't start
What is the floor like??
Firm inflatable insert for the floor. No problem standing in it. Moves well as high speeds. Been almost a year now, still solid
You killed your impeller starting it outside the water.
Nah it’s still running strong
never start without water the pump is wrecked

@@TravelGT just 15 seconds with no water and its wrecked
Gay music flush three times then chase with plunger.
Lol 😂
@@TravelGT just had to 😉
how many miles you can go? Or how long does it take to consume all the fuel?
This outboard has a 1 gallon tank. I use 2 stroke premix. Depending on speed, It’ll do 6-7 hours around the harbor.
@@TravelGT Awesome!
